Nothing says car of the future quite like a luxury, electric
Cadillac
. The first images of the 2023 Cadillac Celestiq were just revealed and the vehicle, which will be hand-built by the automaker, is incredibly luxurious.
Cadillac,
and its parent company General Motors
, are hoping the Celestiq jump-starts their ambitious project to reinstate Cadillac’s Standard of the World reputation. Here’s what we know so far about the 2025 Cadillac Celestiq.

2025 Cadillac Celestiq Exterior and Engine

The 2025 Cadillac Celestiq will be hand built by a small team of craftspeople and will sell for an astounding $300,000.
According to
Motor Biscuit
, Cadillac has chosen a sedan style for the 2025 Celestiq over an SUV but has elevated the design with a fastback rear, long hood, and low top combined with a high H-point or beltline.
Designers of the car have also elected to equip the car with larger wheels, as opposed to the small wheels Cadillac has become known for over the years.
Also on the exterior of the car, drivers will find a large grille embedded with lights that illuminate the front of the car. As for the engine, the electric powertrain will be powered by General Motors Ultium battery technology for a ride that is smooth, quiet, and fuel-efficient.

2025 Cadillac Celestiq Interior and Design

The interior and design of the 2025 Cadillac Celestiq are just as luxurious as the exterior.
Fox News
describes the interior of the vehicle as a modern take on mid-century glitz trimmed in a mix of leather, wood, and fabric trim. Cadillac designers state they were inspired by vintage cars, but also added some modern flair.
One unique feature of the 2025 Cadillac Celestiq is the glass roof that can be individually dimmed or brightened overhead each passenger with the suspended particles inside it.
When a passenger wants the sunroof to be opaque they can set it that way, but if others don’t their section of the roof will mimic the car completely.
In addition to the modern roof,
Car and Driver
reports designers took inspiration for the interior from 1960s and 1970s Cadillac sedans.
Some of the most notable retro interior features include high-pile carpeted floor mats, a large steering wheel with metal accents, and of course, the signature Cadillac bright red upholstery on the seats.

2025 Cadillac Celestiq Technology

The 2025 Cadillac Celestiq really shines with
its brand new, state-of-the-art technology
that will eventually trickle down to other General Motors vehicles at some scale.
For example, that glass roof with SPD-SmartGlass Nanotechnology isn’t just a cool feature, it also helps the Cadillac save battery by reducing the need for air conditioning and naturally cooling the cabin by 18 degrees.
Plus, there will be a 55-inch curved display screen across the car’s entire dashboard with infotainment and navigation features, making visibility and accessibility easy for drivers.
A similar screen will sit mounted between the two rear passengers so that every passenger is well connected. While specific EV technology,
like charge time and range
, hasn’t been released just yet, there’s no doubt that the 2025 Cadillac Celestiq will continue to impress.
