Porsche has decided to dip its toe into crypto by making NFTs using their new Porsche Taycan Turbo. The design on the car’s exterior, created by artist Nigel Sense, is the main feature of the images.

in a very unique way. We’ve got the lowdown on the use of art car NFTs and the artist who designed “Porsche Cars Australia – Road Trip” NFT series using the Porsche Taycan Turbo.
What is a non-fungible token (NFT)?
An NFT or non-fungible token is a crypto asset that is unique and can be used to authenticate ownership of digital assets like digital art, recordings, virtual real estate, and virtual pets.
They are comparable to certificates of authenticity that are given when art and antiques are sold.

explains some of the virtual collectibles that use NFTs include virtual trading cards, recorded clips from EDM stars, video art, and virtual real estate. NFTs can be sold and resold, but the original owner is always tracked. In the case of the Taycan Turbo's unique livery, a portion of the sales continues to go back to the original owner.
What made Porsche expand into the NFTs with the Taycan Turbo?
When Porsche Cars Australia introduced their Taycan Turbo, it was obvious that the car had a little something extra. Artist Nigel Sense worked to create a unique and eye-catching piece of artwork that served as the Taycan Turbo’s exterior design.
However, this artwork was more than it seemed; its design allowed the Taycan Turbo to become a unique digital asset. To celebrate the art and Porsche’s first fully electric and digitally advanced sports car, the automaker commissioned three NFTs of the Taycan's livery.
Photographer Derek Swalwell used his outstanding skills to place the Taycan Turbo's digital image in the perfect background, making NFTs out of them. These NFTs also contain tunes created by the amazing Gene Shill who used harmonic and rhythmic textures from the EVs power unit to create the sounds!
According to
Auto Evolution
, the NFTs, titled the "Porsche Cars Australia – Road Trip" series, are available for sale. All proceeds of the auction will be donated to the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art. 2022 Porsche Taycan
Even though Nigel Sense created a trio of wonderful artwork out of the Taycan Turbo, the EV is more than a pretty picture. Though there is only one Taycan Turbo like the one Nigel worked on,

Turbo combines awesome performance with a striking appearance and customizable high-tech interior.The Taycan Turbo could even go head-to-head with Tesla's Model S, though the Porsche’s range leaves something to be desired when comparing the two. That being said, the Taycan Turbo is powerful. It puts out 750 horses and is equipped with adaptive air suspension, partial leather interior, and remote keyless entry.
The Taycan Turbo also has the technology to surpass most other EVs, including features like remote smartphone parking. Even the paint palette expands past the normal colors with Porsche's "Paint to Sample" program, which allows a fully customized color scheme.
