Despite both trucks sharing the same electric powertrain, the newly resurrected Hummer EV churns out more power. The bottom level trims both churn out around 600hp, while the top of the range trim can produce up to 1,000 hp and over 700 lb-ft of torque.
The Chevy, meanwhile, is significantly less powerful. According to

, the Silverado EV features only two electric motors with the top trim (RST) which can offer about 664 hp, as well as roughly 500 lb-ft of torque. High power modes
It only takes the Silverado RST less than 4.5 seconds to reach 60 mph, a mark it achieves after a switch into sport mode—which increases torque to almost 800 lb-ft.
The Hummer claims to be even quicker, with the carmakers insisting that it can go from 0-60 in under 3.0 seconds. It’s a figure that’s yet to be tested on record—so the actual number might not be that impressive.
Chevy Silverado is best for towing
The Silverado EV's maximum towing capacity for the standard model is 8,000 pounds, slightly higher than the Hummer, which only tows 7,500 pounds. Both trucks fall under the same weightload rating because they can only accommodate 1,300 pounds of payload.
With both trucks using GM's novel Ultium battery technology, Silverado EV tends to cover distances more easily, with about 400 miles of range on a single charge. On the other hand, the Hummer EV is estimated to have 350 miles of driving range per charge.

Meanwhile, the Hummer EV appears roomier with its interior opening up to the elements through a novel removable roof. When in place, the panoramic transparent glass sunroof gives the truck a convertible vibe, similar to that of a Jeep Gladiator.
Hummer EV now features a 13.4-inch infotainment display and a 12.3-inch digital gauge display.
