What is the cheapest F-150 EV?

If you want to keep things cheap, stick with the entry-level, standard-range $41,169 F-150 Lightning Pro. This base model runs on two electric motors capable of 452 horsepower, 775 lb-ft of torque, and 7,700pounds of towing capacity. It also includes:
  • A standard four-door cabin and 5.5-foot bed
  • 12.0-inch touchscreen with the latest Ford Sync 4 Software
  • Automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection
  • Lane-departure and lane-keeping assistance
  • 230 miles of driving range
  • 2,000 pounds of payload capacity

Is an F-150 EV worth it?

The e-truck segment is a tight market, but it’s hard to deny the F-150 Lightning’s competitive starting price even compared to most electric SUVs out there. Even the all-electric 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E starts almost $4,000 higher at $44,995. The anticipated Tesla Cybertruck (starting at $39,900) and the Chevy Silverado EV (expected to start around $40,000) may be worthy contenders in a year or two, but the F-150 Lightning is here and now.
Besides, we’re not talking about which electric truck costs the least. We’re talking about whether or not theF-150 Lightning is worth its price point.
In many ways, the F-150 Lightning is just an F-150 with an electric powertrain. The two look, feel, and perform similarly — and the Lightning may have slightly better handling. The real question then becomes: Is an all-electric powertrain worth it?
A standard 2023 F-150 starts at $35,880. While prices aren’t available for the 2023 F-150 Lightning, you likely wouldn’t be paying more than $10,000 extra for the eco-friendly engines. In exchange, you get a comparable base towing capacity — only 500 pounds less than the F-150 — and 230 miles of fuel-free driving.
As you move up in trim level, the additional features and changes in performance will determine whether the all-electric versions are worth the price difference when compared to their gas-powered counterparts. However, based on the base models alone, we’d say the F-150 EV is definitely worth your consideration.

What is the horsepower of an F-150 EV?

Electric vehicles have a bad rap for sacrificing performance in exchange for battery power, but the electric motors in the F-150 Lightning didn’t come out to play. These bad boys achieve an impressive 452 horsepower on standard-range trims and 580 horsepower on extended-range trims, with 775 lb-ft of torque across the board.
Considering the extra weight from the Lightning’s battery pack, you’ll need every bit of horsepower you can get. Even as such, the F-150 Lightning proves that an electric truck can still haul a heavy load. Standard range F-150 EVs have a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds, but extended-range versions are slated to achieve up to 10,000 pounds.

What is the range of the F-150 EV?

The standard-range F-150 Lightning is slated for 230 miles of all-electric driving. The extended-range F-150 Lightning bumps that number up to 320 miles, though real-world tests have often fallen short. You can also expect these numbers to dwindle significantly when towing a heavy laid behind your F-150 EV.

Is the F-150 EV reliable?

It’s a bit too early to judge the F-150 Lightning’s reliability, although the regular F-150 tends to receive average reliability ratings for its class. The Ford brand receives slightly less than average ratings, ranking 21st out of 32. Compared to gas-powered vehicles, however, electric vehicles are typically more dependable.
