The EV industry has hit full throttle. New car manufacturers keep cropping up virtually every week. Only this year, Vietnamese startup – VinFast – revealed its plan to start production of its two EV crossovers in the U.S.
Deus Automobiles is the new electric startup in town, coming hot on the heels of other EV
automakers in the United States
. The Austrian car manufacturer is set to announce one of its new
electric cars
, the Vayanne. The much-anticipated revelation is scheduled to take place at the NY Auto Show.
Deus only released teaser images of the car, which looks like a low-slung, mid-engine supercar. The Vayanne gets technical support from two auto bigwigs – Italdesign and Williams Advanced Engineering.

Deus Automobiles to reveal Vayanne EV supercar at the NY Auto Show

If you're an EV sports car buff, then you're off to a pleasant surprise because another electric supercar is about to hit the automobile space.
Car and Driver
reported that Austrian-based Deus Automobiles would be unveiling its newly rolled-out EV supercar at the New York Auto Show. The yet-to-be-revealed supercar is called Vayanne, a name inspired by Austria's capital city Vienna.
Deus gave a sneak peek into the vehicle by releasing dark teaser shots of the supercar for the first time to fuel our enthusiasm for the car.
From the little that the black-and-orange images reveal, it's safe to conclude that the Vayanne is a low-slung sports car with a sleek mid-engine design, massive intakes in the front bumper, and unique LED blade headlights.
The stylish, curvy front end and vertical headlights are reminiscent of the Hennessey Venom F5. However, it's pretty early to speculate about the exact design of the car. It would be best to hold our horses and wait until Deus fully unveils the vehicle to see it in its full glory.

What are the specs of the Vayanne, and when is Deus expected to unveil it?

There's more to the Vayanne besides its mid-range styling and large front intakes.
TopGear
provided further details about the EV supercar. Deus and partners want the car to reach a 2,200 hp mark.
Yes, you read that right! Such a horsepower threshold means the vehicle will join the leagues of the Lotus Evija from the UK, which boasts 2,000hp.
Further, the Vayanne will also get 1,475 lb-ft of torque, enough launching power to get the car from 0-62 mph in less than 1.99 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 248 mph.
Deus also claims that the vehicle will feature a comfortable and luxurious ride and that it would be one of the few hypercars created for daily usability.
The Austrian EV manufacturer said it would finally reveal the car on April 13th of 2022 at the NY Auto Show. A limited-edition EV, only 99 units of the Vayanne will be produced and you can be one of the few people in the world to own it. That's if you can afford it. After its grand launch in New York, Deus will start delivering the car in 2025.

The names behind the Deus Vayanne is a reason for excitement

Many EV startups launched their top-gear EV hypercars. Despite the hype about their out-of-this-world renderings and high-performance numbers, many have faded into dim memories after the fuss and cash petered out.
But there's something different about the Deus Vayanne to demonstrate the car's long-term success in the EV market.
The Vayanne received its technical specs from two reputable and well-known outfits in the automobile industry: Italdesign and Williams Advanced Engineering. The former is a famed transportation design powerhouse established by Italian automobile designer Giorgetto Giugiaro.
Williams Advanced Engineering is a subsidiary of the Williams Formula 1 team, which offered batteries used by Formula E and Extreme E. How deep the two iconic automobile brands are involved is unknown.
Still, one thing is clear: Deus Vayanne is not the dime-a-dozen new EV supercars that enjoy short-lived stunts. The collaboration between the two legendary companies is enough to make us excited about the Vayanne.
