All about the Charge Mustang
The highlight of this modded Mustang is clearly the four-wheel drive configuration, but that’s not all there is to love about it.
A custom-designed suspension and powerful AP racing brakes help the Charge Mustang take corners with ease and stop quickly, while the 63 kWh battery pack provides it will about 200 miles of range.
The outfitted vintage racer is compatible with fast charging up to 50 kW, and will come with an onboard AC charger that will have 22 kW of peak power for Europe and 14kW for the U.S. version.
The Charge Mustang is a vintage classic with a modern touch
While the exterior is almost completely unchanged from the classic Mustang body, a discerning eye will notice a few modern touches such as new LED headlights and taillights, flush-mounted door handles, and a fully-enclosed front grille.
The interior, on the other hand, is entirely new, but still stays true to some of the original design elements. The dashboard comes equipped with a modern infotainment center, and everything is finished in luxe leather upholstery.
Only 499 of these cars will be made, but Charge Cars has yet to release pricing. The electric Mustang was first unveiled back in March of this year and will make its first appearance at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles before moving on to the Los Angeles Auto Show.
“It’s the ideal destination for our technology, design, and performance, which has come to life in such an exciting way.”
