seemed to love the DeLorean Plasmatail’s dramatic body styling as much as we did. They predict that the Plasmatail will have gullwing doors (a DeLorean classic), but with a usable rear passenger seat that can be folded down to make space for more cargo. The Plasmatail name comes from the rear-spoiler effect, connected to flanges on either side of the vehicle. Other than that, the front of the vehicle seems to be identical to that of the Alpha5 coupe.
What about the DeLorean Plasmatail’s powertrain?
Currently, MotorTrend predicts that the Delorean Plasmatail will have the same powertrain as the
DeLorean Alpha5 coupe
, which is speculated to have a 100-plus-kWh battery that should hopefully offer drivers more than 300 miles of battery range. DeLorean is predicting a 2.99-second to 0-60 time. That’s fast. And while the DeLorean Plasmatail is sure to shock and awe us for the foreseeable future, it pales in comparison to the DeLorean Omega.
The DeLorean Omega makes us wish we were in 2040
