What is the cheapest Nissan Leaf?

The cheapest Nissan Leaf is the base S model, which starts at $28,895 before EV tax credits. The S is attractively priced, but its 147-horsepower electric motor and 40.0-kWh battery pack are unimpressive by today’s standards. It also has a rather limited driving range of 149 miles.

If you have a short commute or are easily able to plug in at home, the base model S might be a great low-cost EV vehicle for you; otherwise, you might want to consider another vehicle.

Is a Nissan Leaf worth it?

That’s a personal question, don’t you think? But seriously—deciding if a Nissan Leaf is right for you will depend on your individual wants and needs.
If you want a cheap and cheerful EV that you can bop around town in, the Leaf may be a great choice. Just keep in mind that its charging connector is not compatible with all public charging stations—so do your research beforehand to make sure you have reliable charging outlets nearby.
If you want an EV with a little more chutzpah and a longer range, you’ll want to opt for the SV Plus model or better yet, consider another vehicle entirely—we’d recommend the Chevy Bolt EV or Tesla Model 3. Both of these vehicles have a range twice as long as the S’s.
In short, if you’re buying on a budget and live close to compatible charging stations or can easily plug in at home, the Nissan Leaf is a fine choice. However, if you have a longer commute or are dreaming about taking that cross-country road trip, you’ll be better off with another EV.

This app is great, but the customer service is even better! Not to mention convenient! My husband and I got the lowest rate (much lower than the rates I was finding online through my own searches), quickly, and pretty much all through text message! Thank you so much for a hassle free experience👍
