As Marvel’s resident tech genius and stylish billionaire, Iron Man’s Tony Stark has one of the most stacked garages of any fictional character—including an iconic Audi R8, a Bugatti Veyron, and a custom Acura NSX.
Marvel couldn’t have a convincing Iron Man character without a sleek car collection to match his style. Tony Stark first appeared on the silver screen in 2008 in Iron Man, and his sweet rides quickly took a supporting role up until Avengers: End Game.
Ready for a closer look into Iron Man’s coolest cars? We've got this essential guide exploring the best of Tony Stark’s collection.

Audi R8s

Iron Man introduced us to Tony Stark for the first time on the big screen, along with his emblematic
Audi R8
. The Audi R8 told us exactly what to expect from Tony—confidence, power, and extravagance. In fact, the R8 became Tony’s go-to throughout the entire Avengers series in various configurations, evolving along with Stark’s character.
As Audi’s first supercar, the first R8 came equipped with a 4.2-liter V8 engine producing 420 horsepower, the perfect set of wheels for our budding superhero. The first iteration of the model, the R8 featured a unique mechanical design and, of course, high-tech features for its time.
Though nowhere near as fast as Iron Man’s fastest suit, the R8 goes from 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds for those times Tony is restricted to the ground. Tony sticks with the most up-to-date models of R8s throughout most of the movies, including Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, and Spider-Man: Homecoming.

2010 Audi R8 Spyder

Sticking with his tried-and-true for the sequel—but with an upgrade—Tony is seen with an Audi R8 Spyder in Iron Man2. Well, he doesn’t actually drive the car in the movie, but it was featured prominently in several garage scenes next to the rest of his high-profile collection.
The R8 Spyder is a convertible version of the original, but it also comes with a 5.2 FSI V10 engine that produces 525 horsepower.

Audi R8 e-tron

In Iron Man 3, Tony upgrades his R8 to a new R8 e-tron, an all-electric version of the car. At the time of the film, the e-tron was only a prototype, and Audi reportedly shelved the car due to cost and weight issues. The prototype, however, was equipped with two electric motors producing 376 horsepower and 605 lb-ft of torque
As is the fate of many of Tony Stark’s cars, the e-tron was destroyed in an explosion—actually, a helicopter attack that demolished his lush Malibu mansion—which is just par for the course in the life of an Avenger.

2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus Quattro

Adding another iteration of the R8 to the list, Audi released the
Audi R8
V10 Plus Quattro in 2017. Even though this car was never seen in any Marvel movie, it became known as “Tony Stark’s car” to the public—likely because it’s exactly what Tony would pick.
This model came with efficient updates like a new lightweight frame, 610 horsepower, and a 2.9-second 0 to 60 time

2012 Acura NSX Concept

When the first Avengers was released, Tony Stark switches things up by driving an
Acura
, the official brand of the MCU’s law enforcement agency, S.H.I.E.L.D. We see the Acura as Tony Stark and Bruce Banner drive off, as Thor takes Loki back to Asgard.
The car Tony drives in the film was made just for the movie and doesn’t actually exist in real life, but Acura released the similarly-made NSX Concept for production.
Tony’s one-off Acura—costing a whopping $9 million—came equipped with a palm-scan ID steering wheel, a projected hologram of the car’s surroundings, a bullet-proof exterior, a night vision windshield, and a self-detonation recon drone. In true Iron Man form, the car was fitted with a Palladium-powered 80,000 TOHC 32-valve engine with a titanium-forged block and nitrous fuel-injection system.

Other cars in the collection

As an avid car collector and certified gearhead, Tony Stark had quite a few impressive cars in his garage that weren’t prominently featured in the films—but they’re definitely worth noting.

1932 Ford Flathead Roadster

Seen first in Iron Man, the Flathead Roadster was known as the “Hotrod.” In the movie, Tony is seen working on the car—the color inspiration for Iron Man’s original suit—and fixes the engine with the help of his AI assistant, JARVIS.
Fun Fact: The Roadster from the movie actually belongs to Jon Favreau, the director of Iron Man.!

Tesla Roadster

At the time of Iron Man’s release, Tesla was still in its prototype phase. When we see the early Tesla Roadster in Tony Stark’s garage, we’re shown how seriously he takes his cars—and how well-connected and influential he is to the technology world.

Bugatti Veyron Supersport

Seen sitting in Tony Stark’s garage in Iron Man 3, the Bugatti Veyron SS is seen parked next to a white Audi R8 e-tron while Tony tested out his Mark 32 suit. The only other time the Bugatti is seen is when it’s being destroyed in the attack on the mansion.
