1962 Chevrolet C1 Corvette

When you think of Lucifer Morningstar, chances are you envision him in a black 1962
Chevy C1 Corvette
—with the top down, of course.
Chevrolet introduced the first ‘Vette in 1953. And while it’s undergone several changes—from a front-end engine to a mid-engine, along with numerous exterior, interior, and performance upgrades—the Corvette has ingrained its place among the most respected sports cars of all time, boasting supercar performance and exotic styling with an affordable price tag.
The 1962 C1 represented the end of an era. It was the last produced before unveiling the next generation, the C2.
The tuxedo black C1 Corvette seems a perfect fit for an L.A. hustler in Lucifer. After all, in the 1960s, the rich and famous cruised around in some of the biggest names in cars—
Porsche
,
Mercedes
, and of course, the quintessential gangster car, the Corvette C1.
But as fans found out in season four, the black Corvette didn’t stick around.

1963 Aston Martin DB4 Convertible

For a lot of viewers, the transition from the black Corvette to a cherry-red 1963 Aston Martin DB4 Convertible was questionable. The ‘Vette was so fitting for a club boss—why the change?
But transformation within Lucifer himself called for a major change in wheels. The introduction of love-interest Eve shook things up in Lucifer’s life, including what he drove. His 1962 classic was replaced by another classic—a show-stopping Aston Martin, at that.
Debuting at the 1958 London Motor Show, the DB4 gathered a fair bit of fame in its early days. Its European look mimicked a touring sedan (then called a touring saloon), yet it was the first car produced capable of going from 0 to 60 mph in 9 seconds.
The release of the iconic DB4 ushered in a new era for Aston Martin, wherein it became a solid competitor among other high-performance sports car manufacturers. It featured a DOHC inline six-cylinder engine with 240 horsepower and 240 foot-pounds of torque at a starting price of $5,500 (or about $51,000 today). Only 70 of the 1963 convertible models were produced.
So if you’re hoping to hop behind the wheel of Lucifer’s red beauty—and one of the rarest classic cars on the road—you better get your checkbook ready. It’s going to cost you upwards of $900K
Fun Fact Lucifer’s red car gained so much attention on the show that other media producers—like Grand Theft Auto—started featuring it too!
