Secret agent Sterling Archer drives quite a few cool cars on Archer including his trademark 1970 Dodge Challenger and the Smokey and the Bandit 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.
The crude-yet-charming titular character of FX’s Archer is full of super-spy swagger—especially when it comes to the cars he drives. Car enthusiasts love playing car-centric I-Spy throughout the episodes—though some of the best vehicles only appear onscreen for brief moments.
With over 12 seasons to choose from, we had to narrow down the list quite a bit, but here are some of Archer’s best cars.

Start earning now1970 Dodge Challenger
Archer’s signature car—the 1970 Dodge Challenger—makes its first appearance in season one, episode two (“Training Day”).
In this episode, Archer and Cyril load the sedated body of Trinette—who they believed to be dead—into the trunk of the Challenger where she later wakes up. Eventually, Trinette demands collateral from Archer for this incident, and she takes off with the car.
Archer’s particular car is believed to be the Dodge Challenger R/T
440 Six Pack, specced out with custom features fit for an international super spy—including the following: Anti-pursuit tire-shredding spikes
Anti-pursuit oil slick apparatus
Glove compartment mini-bar
Twin 30-caliber machine guns in the grill
Bulletproof body and windows
The Challenger returns for multiple episodes (“Tragical History," “El Secuestro," "Double Trouble," and "The Man From Jupiter" to name a few) despite being repeatedly shot at, stolen, and even destroyed. In season three, episode seven (“Drift Problem”) we find out this spy car was a gift from his mother—who also arranged to have the car stolen to teach Archer about responsibility. This episode is also where we find out the car’s nickname is “Jeannie.”
>Fun Fact Many of Archer’s cars have custom license plates that read “SPY GUY.”
1970 Chevrolet El Camino
In season four, episode two (“The Wind Cries Mary”), Archer switches things up in a black 1970 Chevrolet El Camino muscle car. In the El Camino’s first appearance, Archer has loaded it up with “rampage gear” as he meets an old friend. This Chevy returns for season four, episode five (“Vicious Coupling”) when Archer uses it to commit a drive-by robbery of a florist shop patron before speeding away.
We can’t say for certain what spy-level features the El Camino has—other than GPS navigation—but the standard 1970 El Camino came with the choice between a turbo-thrift, a turbo-fire, or a turbo-jet engine with horsepowers from 140 to 375 hp. Although we can’t confirm which engine Archer uses, it’s safe to assume that he’s doing a bit more than 140 hp.

Start earning now1977 Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Lana’s 1977 Aston Martin may not belong to Archer, but it’s too iconic not to include in our list. This violet V8 Vantage is hard to miss in episodes like “Training Day”, “Placebo Effect”, and “The Wind Calls Mary”. Of course, the car suffered its fair share of bullets, but that’s par for the course when you’re a special agent.
The show’s artists were spot on with this Aston Martin’s 1970s design in keeping with the theme of the show’s other cars. The ‘70s-era V8 Vantage—likely a 1977—was known as Britain's first “supercar” since it could reach 170 mph. Equipped with either a 5.3-liter or 6.3-liter V8, the V8 Vantage could pack up to 430 horsepower.

1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
In season five, episode five (“Southbound And Down”) Archer goes Smokey and the Bandit-style in more ways than one—starting with a replica of Smokey’s car. The 1977 Pontiac Firebird
Trans Am only gets one episode, but it does make a lasting impression. In the episode, Archer heads to Texas
for a covert operation and needs a flashy car to use as a distraction. Archer—donning his best Burt Reynolds disguise—chooses to drive a ‘77 Trans Am for the job. >Fun Fact Eagle-eyed viewers of the show will notice that Archer creators place a Fiat 500
in nearly every episode where cars are seen. MORE: The Pontiac Firebird was a car for the ages
