The Toyota Corolla CE provides sensibility and affordability that’s right in line with Toyota’s well-earned reputation. But if you’ve got your eye on a V6 for a Toyota Corolla CE, you won’t be able to find one—they don’t exist.
Introduced in 1997, the CE was Corolla’s top-of-the-line trim level. Fast forward to the year 2000 and the CE became Corolla’s base trim—until production of the CE ceased altogether in 2008. Although updated trims of the Corolla are still being made today, there’s never been a V6 option on the market.
The Corolla CE is fitted with a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine—not exactly a recipe for rip-roaring power. If you’d rather not settle for the four-cylinder Corolla, you’ll need to look toward one of Camry’s sporty V6 trims.
