Standard seating capacity for a 2023 Toyota 4Runner is five. However, you can purchase third-row packages which raise this capacity to seven. The third row is not available on any of the TRD 4Runner trims and not available for the 40th Anniversary Special Edition.
The extra seats go into the back, while the middle row remains a three-seat row that can fold down to provide access to the rear seating. Third row seating costs a minimum of $805 extra.

You won’t be able to fit eight people in any 2023 Toyota 4Runner, but there are three Toyota models that will seat up to 8 people if you choose the right configurations.

Toyota Sienna
minivan seats seven or eight. The standard LE
model already comes with eight seats at no extra charge, but upgrade trims replace the middle row with 2 captain’s chairs, reducing seating capacity to seven.
