Nissan park assist features

Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility and ProPILOT Assist are the brand’s suites of advanced driver assistance technology that includes park assist technology and ProPILOT Park—two systems that make parking troubles a thing of the past. Whether you’re parallel parking or perpendicular parking, Nissan’s park assist technology can make it a seamless process. Here’s the lowdown on the two types of park assist and how to use them.

Park Assist with Intelligent Around View® Monitor

The standard park assist features on Nissan vehicles make parking less stressful, but they still require manual input from the driver. These park assist features use sensors and cameras to provide a composite visual of the car to help the driver determine how best to move the car into a parking space.
The Intelligent Around View® Monitor creates a simulated 360-degree picture of the car’s exterior to assist in easier parallel parking. These features also detect other vehicles or other objects as well as provide audio warnings and visual cues to guide your parking, so say goodbye to parking performance anxiety.
In vehicles equipped with this technology, the system automatically enables the beeps and vibrations when you’re parking. To see the camera view of your car when parking, just push the “camera” button on your infotainment center to cycle through the different views of your car.

ProPILOT Park

Nissan’s ProPILOT Park feature introduces self-park technology to Nissan’s lineup, currently only available in the brand-new electric Nissan Ariya crossover. Like other park assist features, this feature also makes parking in tight spots much easier—but ProPILOT Park requires minimal or zero input from the driver
Self-park technology uses sensors and cameras to assess the car’s position, then the system controls the accelerator, brakes, steering, and transmission to park the car while you sit back and watch. While this feature is still fresh to the brand, Nissan will undoubtedly add this feature to future models, too.

Do all Nissans have park assist?

As of 2023, the only Nissan with ProPILOT park technology is the newly released electric Nissan Ariya. But Park Assist with the Intelligent Around View® Monitor has been standard or available on almost all Nissan models since 2018.
