requires front and rear license plates tobe displayed at all times. There is an exception for motorcycles and trailers. These vehicles only require one plate in the rear. What license plates does Nevada have?
Most Nevada license plates are standard issue. Standard Plates in Nevada are the default option—the pale blue plate with an abstract mountain range reading ‘HOME MEANS NEVADA.’ As far as Standard Plates go, Nevada drivers lucked out.
That said, there are some Specialty Plate options worth exploring before you commit to the classic. Nevada organizes these specialty options into six categories:
- Charitable and collegiate platescan be purchased to represent your cause or school. A portion of the plate fees is donated to the cause represented by your plate choice.
- Classic vehicle platescan be purchased for vehicles 20 years or older or for retired military vehicles.
- Organization platesshow off your affiliation with one of several groups, ranging from amateur radio to firefighters.
- Veterans platescan be given to all veterans—including decorated and disabled veterans—their families, and ex-POWs.
- Proposed platesare a DIY option. If you have an idea for a charitable plate, you canpitch an applicationto the DMV.

Organization plates
