. But before doing so, you’ll need to meet the following requirements before applying for a replacement online: Be at least 21 years of age
Be an Iowa resident and a U.S. citizen
Your license must be valid
Have no changes to your name, date of birth, sex, endorsements, class type, or restrictions
Do not have any of the following restrictions on your license: E, J, G, Q, R, or T
You do not have any pending re-examinations scheduled
Your current license is not marked “Valid Without Photo”
Your replacement will be mailed to you within 21 days.

To replace your lost driver’s license in-person, you’ll need to head to an Iowa Driver’s License Issuance site
