With a long-term goal of seamlessly connecting the border of Mexico in Texas to the Port Huron crossing in Canada, Interstate 69 currently functions as ten segments of disconnected highway spanning more than 1,660 miles, set to be complete in 2024. 
The stretch from northeast Texas to Michigan is part of the High Priority Corridor 18: NAFTA Superhighway and serves as a significant transportation route for the movement of goods.

What is an interstate highway?

Many people use highway and interstate synonymously, but they’re not quite the same. As the name suggests, an interstate highway is a system of roadways connecting states through highways. They stretch in all directions across the United States, covering more than 47,000 miles
Unlike most highways, the numbering system for interstate highways is unique—north-south interstates are odd-numbered, and east-west interstates are even-numbered. Typically, interstates with the lowest numbers are found in the west and south. To avoid confusion, beltways and loops around cities are given a three-digit number.

I-69 is a series of disconnected corridors covering roughly 1,660 miles. The original section of I-69 stretched from Indiana to Michigan, with additional branches stretching through several states. These sections will eventually be joined to form a seamless corridor from Canada to Mexico, but currently, it runs through:

    (Upland, IN): Featuring homemade sandwiches, meal-size salads, and their famous chicken salad, Ivanhoe’s is a staple along I-69.
