How to remote start your Acura MDX 2022
To remote start your 2002 Acura MDX, it’s recommended that you stand up to 328 feet away from your car. However, you’re much more likely to successfully start your engine if you stand within 100 feet.
Essentially, try to get as close to your Acura as you can. Then, follow these steps.
Starting your car
Press the Lock button on your key fob
. Press and hold the Engine Hold button.
Wait for a green LED on your remote to come on, indicating that your remote start was successful.
Your car will run for 10 minutes before automatically shutting off again. If you’d like to extend your MDX’s run time by an additional 10 minutes, you can repeat the remote start process to add some extra time.
After starting your car remotely, your vehicle will automatically precondition your car’s interior based on the weather outside. If you remote start your Acura in warm weather, your seat ventilation and climate control will be activated. If you remote start your car in cold weather, the defroster, defogger, and seat heaters will automatically activate.
Stopping your car
So what happens if you start your car, then decide not to go out after all? Fortunately, you can shut off your MDX remotely, too:
Press and hold the Engine Hold button for one second.
Wait for the red LED to come on for one second, indicating that your engine has been shut off.
