2022 BMW M3 customization options

The BMW M3 is a performance sedan that offers drivers the best of both worlds when it comes to speed and comfort. As for customizations—from safety options, high-tech capabilities, and various drivetrains—the choices seem endless.
The 2022 M3 offers three different trim levels: the M3 Sedan, M3 Competition Sedan, and the M3 Competition xDrive. The M3 Sedan is the basic trim level, starting at $70,100 while the M3 Competition xDrive is the highest trim level—priced at $77,100
The M3 Sedan and M3 Competition contain a twin-turbocharged three-liter engine and rear-wheel drive, but only the M3 Sedan is available with a six-speed manual transmission
To the disappointment of some sports sedan purists, both the M3 Competition and M3 Competition xDrive are equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Part of the reason for the limited transmission option is that the Competition xDrive features all-wheel-drive technology, which cannot be implemented on a stick-shift vehicle.

BMW M3 packages

In addition to the range of trim levels and drivetrain configurations, BMW gives drivers several customizations in the way of driving packages
Perhaps you’re interested in adding on the Active Driving Assistant Professional Package for $1,700. This package uses camera and radar systems to ease your driving experience and make you feel more secure as you drive.

If you’d rather customize your M3 with individual add-ons rather than a package upgrade, BMW also offers options like M Carbon bucket seats, front ventilated seats, and M Carbon ceramic brakes

How to customize your M3 to save money

Any upgrade you choose will increase the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of your M3. In fact, certain upgrades like the M Carbon ceramic brakes are priced at $8,150. Keep in mind that if you add a lot of upgrades to your M3, the cost of your car insurance will also increase due to driving such an expensive car.

Although the safety features themselves may not lower your premium, you could get an insurance discount for staying accident-free
