Ownership costs for a 2015 Corvette

The exact cost of owning a 2015 Corvette depends on the trim level you desire. Each variant comes in three levels:
  • 2015 Corvette Stingray: 1LT, 2LT, and
    3LT
  • 2015 Corvette Z06: 1LZ, 2LZ, and 3LZ
The starting price for a 2015 Corvette Stingray Convertible 1LT package is $59,995, though CarGurus shows the market value is about $39,635. With a little patience, you might be able to find a 2015 Corvette closer to this price range.
The 2015 Corvette includes several enhancements, including two new design packages—the Atlantic and Pacific Design Packages. Each Z51 design package is unique but either will cost you the same at about $5,000 for each model.
According to U.S. News & World Report, which gave the 2015 Corvette a rating of 8.3/10, the five-year costs for gas, insurance, maintenance, and repairs are estimated to be around $38,640, or $7,728 per year.

What does the 2015 Corvette bring to the table?

Chevrolet rolled out all the stops with the 2015 Corvette Stingray! The new design packages allow customers to customize their Corvette for their specific interests.
The Atlantic Design Package offers a luxury sports GT car, while the Pacific Design Package high-performance motorsport car. Both Z51 packages only come in 2LT or 3LT trim levels. You basically have to ask yourself if you want to go fast or faster!
Speaking of fast, the 2015 Corvette offers an all-new eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission, called the Hydra-Matic 8L90, that delivers superior shift times. Chevrolet also unveiled the new high-performance 2015 Corvette Z06 to their lineup, calling it their “most track-capable Corvette ever”.
Another cool enhancement the 2015 Corvette offers is a Performance Data Recorder, allowing you to record high-definition videos of your driving experiences on and off the racetrack.

Strengths and weaknesses of the 2015 Corvette

If you’re in the market for a 2015 Corvette, here are all the standout features, from the good to the not-so-bad.

The good: brisk acceleration

If you’re looking for speed, the 2015 Corvette Stingray has you covered! The super high-performance Z06 model is equipped with a new LT4 supercharged 6.2L V-8 engine and offers 650 horsepower. Want even more power? Add on the Z07 Performance Package
Whether you opt for the standard Stingray or the Z06, you can add on the new eight-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission to your fly ride. This new transmission with superb shift responsiveness can have you going from zero to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds

The good: engaging handling

The 2015 Corvette Stingray’s responsive handling is beyond noteworthy.
Both Z51 and Z07 performance packages enhance the luxury sports car’s handling ability for their respective variants—making the 2015 Corvette a really fun ride

The good: lots of cargo

Who doesn’t need extra cargo space? Cargo space varies by Corvette body type.
The 2015 Corvette coupe boasts 15 cubic feet of cargo space with a liftback-style hatch opening, while the convertible has a traditional trunk that offers 10 cubic feet

The bad: limited seating

The only reason you probably wouldn’t want to go with a high-performance 2015 Corvette is if you’re going to need to drive more than one other person around regularly.
But it is a luxury sports car, after all. Most (though not all) are usually equipped with only two seats.

The bad: touch screen can be slow to respond

The 2015 Corvette comes with an 8-inch touch screen, but a common complaint against the technology is the screen lagging when responding to inputs.
Overall, the only negative remarks against the 2015 Corvette aren’t really that bad!
