An homage to Harley Earl, the 1993 Corvette comes with a special 40th Anniversary trim with Ruby Red paint and interior. Its base model features narrower front tires and wider rear tires. 
It also comes with a boost in torque and horsepower. And for the first time, Corvette introduced an optional Passive Keyless Entry so the driver could lock and unlock their doors without pushing a button.

The good: speed

The battery-powered transmitter sends a unique code to the car when the driver approaches. It automatically unlocks the doors, turns on the interior lights, and deactivates the anti-theft system. 
Unlike other keyless entry systems, you don’t have to press any “lock” or “unlock” buttons; everything is automatic. You can also program this system only to unlock the driver's door or both driver and passenger doors. 

The bad: engine problems

The engine in the LT1 exhibits a rough idle when starting up, particularly if the car has been sitting. One way to combat this is by adding a fuel stabilizer or fuel injection cleaner to the fuel tank. 
Another common engine issue is overheating. Debris will often get sucked up between the radiator and A/C condenser, blocking the airflow. To prevent your engine from overheating, check and clean this area regularly. 

The bad: noise 

While many of the 1993 Corvette specs are impressive, be aware that the car can be loud. This is most noticeable when driving in neutral with the clutch out, as it is the ZF6 transmission causing all the noise.
