Batteries with a flat or reversed terminal layout will typically be displayed as a number followed by a letter—such as “F” or “R”—to represent this change. A 24F battery, for example, indicates a flat terminal layout on a group 24 battery.
The correct battery size for your vehicle will depend on its make, model, and sometimes also the vehicle’s age and trim level. In most Toyotas, you’ll find a battery group size of 24F, 27F, or 35—although many Tundra trucks take a 34R group battery.
