The battery size for a 2022 Rivian R1T is 135 kWh, thanks to its “Large” battery pack found on all the 2022 models.

Several rumors are swirling around about the enhanced batteries in production for 2023—unfortunately, those have also come with delays in manufacturing. What we know for certain is that 2022 models come equipped with a robust battery pack containing nearly 8,000 Li-ion cells in a nine-module assembly. Simply put: these batteries mean business.

The cells are manufactured by the tech giant Samsung, and Rivian assembles the battery pack in the US. When paired with the four electric motors (one for each wheel), the R1T roars with 835 horsepower and reaches 60 mph in a blazing 3.3 seconds.
