OEM wheel size: You’ve probably seen “OEM” mentioned before with car parts, and that’s for a good reason. It stands for “Original Equipment Manufacturer.” So, all OEM wheel size refers to the diameter of your Mitsubishi’s original, factory-set wheels.

Lug pattern: Also known as a bolt pattern, these numbers refer to the number of lug holes and the diameter of the circle they form. If you want to purchase new wheels for your Mitsubishi, you’ll need to know your lug pattern to buy ones that fit!

Offset: In this case, it’s not one-third of a famous rap trio. The offset of a wheel is the distance between the mounting surface and the rim's center. This figure can be either positive or negative: a positive offset means that the wheels are pulled in closer to the car, and a negative offset means they stick out more.

Stud size: In the US, stud sizes are written as stud diameter x tire threads per inch (1/2x20). In the metric system, they are expressed as stud diameter x distance between tire threads (12mm x 1.5). As shown in the table above, Mitsubishi stud sizes are written in the metric system.

Center bore: The center bore is the opening that centers the wheel on the hub.

How to measure your Mitsubishi’s lug pattern

Even if your Mitsubishi model wasn’t included in the table above, measuring your Mitsubishi’s lug pattern is a pretty simple DIY. All you’ll need is some measuring tape or a ruler!

First things first, count the lugs. The exact number of lugs on a Mitsubishi varies by model, make, and year, so you’ll find either 4, 5, or 6.

Next, find the diameter of the lug pattern. Start at the outer edge of any lug hole and measure directly across the circle. If you’ve got an odd-numbered pattern, you’ll end up between lugs, so move the end of your ruler or tape measure to the closest lug on either side and measure to the center of the lug hole.

If you count five holes and measure a diameter of 4.5 inches, your Mitsubishi lug pattern would be 5x4.5 (said aloud as 5 on 4.5).
