Where can I find my Land Rover’s paint code?

You should be able to find your Land Rover’s paint codes on the black manufacturer's label stuck inside the driver’s side door jam. If you can’t find it there, try looking under the hood on the radiator support bar.
The codes for Land Rover usually include a paint name and a three-digit number

What if there’s no paint code on the car’s label?

If you can’t find Land Rover’s black paint tag, you can use the VIN (vehicle identification number) to look up the paint code for your SUV. The VIN should be a string of 17 numbers and letters.
Here’s where you can find the
VIN for your Land Rover
  • Most Land Rovers will have the VIN stamped on the right sill under the chassis. You can also look for the nameplate on the left side of the dashboard casing.
  • If you can’t find the VIN on your SUV, it should be on your car’s title document and registration.
You’ll need to call your dealership with the VIN, and they can use it to look up your paint code.

Where can I get paint for my Land Rover?

Once you have your paint code, it's time to buy paint! You can either order through your dealership or any number of online and in-store auto shops that offer paint packages.
As long as you have your paint code, it doesn’t matter where you buy from.

Paint touch-up tips

You have your paint—it's time to make those scuffs and dings disappear! Here are some tips that will make your paint job easier:
  • Use soap and water to wash the damaged area.
  • If the area is rusty, use a wire brush or fine sandpaper to wear away the corrosion
  • Apply primer to any bare metal or plastic that you want to paint—-and allow to dry overnight.
  • Once your primer is dry, lightly sand it for an even surface.
  • Paint the area with the color that matches the rest of your car. Apply several coatings, waiting 20 minutes between each layer. Let your last layer dry overnight.
  • Add a clear protective coat using the same method as you did while painting. Apply several layers and let it dry overnight.
  • After three days, buff the area with a rubbing compound to make it shine!
Please note that you could probably use a paint pen or a smaller paint pack if you have a minor scratch instead of buying a whole can.
