Infiniti recommends you inflate 235/55R20 102H wheels to 35 pounds per square inch (PSI) for both front and rear tires on your QX60. If you’ve got 235/65R18 106T tires, inflate them all to 33 psi.
You probably know that tire pressure is important, but you might not know why. Properly inflated tires maximize your fuel efficiency, optimize your steering, and minimize the risks of a flat tire. Needless to say, tire pressure is a pretty big deal!

What is the right tire pressure for an Infiniti QX60?

To get your answer, check what size tire you’ve got on your QX60. 235/55R20 102H tires must be inflated to 35 psi for both front and rear tires. If you’ve got 235/65R18 106T tires, inflate the front and rear tires to 33 psi.
Not sure what kind of tire your QX60 has? Look on the tire’s sidewall for the tire code. The above codes tell you that both Infiniti tire sizes are 235 millimeters wide. From there, the tires differ. One has a 55% aspect ratio, while the other has 65%. Both tires feature radial construction (which is why you see R in the code).
You can also check your owner’s manual to or inside the driver’s side door jamb to confirm the tire pressure.

How to check Infiniti QX60 tire pressure

You might sense that the tires are a little low, or your Infiniti QX60’s low tire pressure light might illuminate. The tire pressure monitoring system can detect low tire pressure, but it won’t come on if you have a sudden loss of pressure like from a flat tire.
Some Infinitis are equipped to display the exact tire pressure of each tire on the display screen. This makes it a breeze to check tire pressure! If your Infinity QX60 doesn’t have this fancy option, you can check tire pressure by hand.
Grab a tire pressure gauge and unscrew the valve stem on each tire. Push the gauge onto the stem so the gauge extends to give a reading. This tells you if the tires are over or underinflated. It’s so easy you can do this at home, at the gas station (preferably near the air-filling station), or even when you’re on the road (just pull off to a secure spot).

How often should you check tire pressure?

Infiniti recommends checking the tire pressure every month or before heading out on a big trip.

How to tell if your Infiniti QX60 needs new tires

Plan to replace your tires once every five years or so—that’s assuming they stay in pretty good shape. However, get new tires right away if you notice:
  • Cracking in the rubber
  • Marks or scratches on the sides of your tires
  • Low tire tread (2/32 of an inch or lower)
  • An off-center steering wheel
  • A vibrating steering wheel when you’re on the highway
  • Consistently low tire pressure
If you’re still not sure whether or not your QX60 needs a new set of wheels, ask your local Infiniti dealership to check. They can also inflate your tires if they need them.

How to reset the Infiniti QX60 tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) light

Your TPMS light should switch off once your QX60’s tires are properly inflated and you’ve driven the car for a while. But if that pesky light won’t turn off, you probably need to reset the TPMS.
Use the touchscreen or TPMS button to access the tire pressure information. If you’re not sure which your QX60 uses, consult your owner’s manual since the process can vary a little from model to model.
Select the calibrate or reset TPMS option and drive your vehicle for a few minutes. You’ve got to go over 16 mph so the wheel speed sensors communicate with the tire pressure system. Then, the TPMS light should turn off.
Sometimes, the TPMS malfunctions and you can’t reset it. If this is the case, take your QX60 to the nearest Infiniti dealer where they can diagnose and reprogram your car.
