You can still get this technology in your Infiniti G37, but it will require purchasing and installing an aftermarket part. No—the Infiniti G37 does not have Apple CarPlay. Infiniti stopped producing the G series in 2016 and only began including Apple CarPlay as a standard feature in 2020. Android Auto—which automakers typically include alongside Apple CarPlay—is also unavailable. You can still connect your phone via Bluetooth or a USB cord, but you won't have access to the same features as Apple CarPlay.
Instead, the G37 comes standard with a basic entertainment system, including a seven-inch display, CD player, six-speaker sound system, satellite radio, and USB audio interface. A premium sound system is also available and features a 10-speaker Bose sound system. A separate navigation package is also available and includes a navigation system, voice controls, and Bluetooth audio streaming.
How to add Apple CarPlay to an Infiniti G37
Infiniti did not start including Apple CarPlay as a standard feature until 2020, but that doesn't mean you can't get this technology in your older G37. However, to add this feature to your G37, you'll have to purchase and install an aftermarket Apple CarPlay module, like

, which also features Android Auto. To install your module, you'll need to follow these steps:
- Pull down the gear shift knob cover and remove the pin holding the head in place. Remove the shift knob head.
- Use a trim tool or flathead screwdriver to remove the trim panel in front of the shift knob as well as the piece surrounding the shifter.
- Disconnect three electrical connections securing the shift knob trim panel.
- Remove the two screws below the stereo deck.
- Remove the stereo control panel and disconnect the three electrical connections on its back.
- Remove the two screws beneath the touchscreen trim panel and slide off the panel.
- Remove the two screws beneath the touchscreen before carefully pulling out the screen and disconnecting the two electrical connections on its back.
- Remove the two screws at the bottom of the stereo head unit.
- Feed the Apple CarPlay wiring harnesses behind the touchscreen housing. You can run your USB connections to the glove box or the center console.
- Stash the Apple CarPlay module behind a trim panel.
- Connect all of the wiring harnesses.
- Work backward to reassemble the stereo and dash.
While the installation process is fairly straightforward, it can be tricky if you don't have experience working with electrical connections or automotive interior trim panels. If you don't feel confident installing your Apple CarPlay module, the smartest move is to hire a professional to do it for you.
How to enable Apple CarPlay in an Infiniti G37
Once you've installed the Apple CarPlay module, enabling the technology is pretty simple. First, you'll need to connect your iOS device via Bluetooth, confirm the connection, and then hold down the back button on your steering wheel or stereo deck until the Apple CarPlay menu appears. From there, you can select and use your favorite Apple apps and tools, like Siri, Spotify, and Google Maps.
