Most Cadillac models have either 6x5.5, 5x4.53, or 5x4.72 lug patterns. However, before switching out your rims or wheels, you’ll want to know the exact lug pattern for your vehicle model.
Cadillac is one of the most recognized brand names in the U.S., and they’ve built a reputation for offering quality luxury vehicles that are both comfortable and fun to drive.
With such sleek and elegant designs, Cadillac drivers naturally want to keep their vehicles looking their best. So when your rims get scratched or damaged, it’s important to know your vehicle’s lug pattern so you can get your rims replaced quickly.

Why you should know your Cadillac’s lug pattern

A vehicle’s lug pattern (or bolt pattern) lets you know how many lug holes are in each wheel and how far apart they are. The first number in the pattern is the number of lug holes, while the second number is the diameter of the circle all the lug holes make.
So for example, a 5x5 lug pattern means your wheels have five lug holes and they create a 5-inch diameter circle.
If you want to replace the wheels or rims on your Cadillac, you need to know your lug pattern first so you can get the right parts for your vehicle.

Lug pattern terminology 101

If the table above is a little confusing, don’t panic! Wheel specifications aren’t that scary once you know some of the basic terms used.
OEM wheel size: OEM, or Original Equipment Manufacturer, wheel size refers to the diameter of the original wheels that came on your Cadillac. You’ll want to buy new wheels or rims that match the OEM wheel size.
Lug pattern: Also referred to as the bolt pattern, these two numbers tell you the number of lug holes in your wheel and the diameter of the circle they make.
Offset: The offset is the distance from where your wheel is mounted to the center of the rim. A low or negative offset means your wheels stick out from the vehicle, while a positive or high offset means your wheels are closer to the car body. Most Cadillacs have high (H) or medium (M) offsets.
Stud size: Stud sizes are written in two different ways depending on the manufacturer. US studs are written in stud diameter x threads per inch (e.g., 1/2x20) while metric fasteners use stud diameter x distance between threads in millimeters (e.g., 14mmx1.50).
Center bore: The center bore on the wheel is the hole that centers the wheel on the hub. These vary in size between models, so make sure you have the right measurement.

How to measure your Cadillac’s lug pattern

You can also measure your Cadillac’s lug pattern easily with just a ruler or a measuring tape. We’ll walk you through the process.
First, count the lugs on one of your wheels. Most Cadillacs have five, but several models have six. This will be the first number of your lug pattern.
Next, get your measuring tape or ruler and measure the distance across the circle the lug holes make. Start at the outside edge of any lug hole and measure straight across.
If you have an odd number of lug holes, you’ll end up in a space between bolts. Just move your measuring tape over to the nearest bolt and measure to the center of the lug hole. This number will be the second part of your lug pattern.
So let’s say you have six lug holes and you got 5.5 inches when you measured the diameter. Your lug pattern would be written as 6x5.5.
