How to use Apple CarPlay in your Infiniti Q50

Now that you know that Apple CarPlay is an option in your Infiniti, you’re probably wondering how to use it. Fortunately, Apple products are pretty user-friendly, and setting up CarPlay in your Q50 is actually pretty easy!

The following step-by-step instructions explain how to set up Apple CarPlay in your Infiniti:

Open your iPhone settings and select Bluetooth. Be certain that your Bluetooth is turned on.

On your vehicle’s dashboard, press the MENU button.

From your infotainment screen, select Settings > Bluetooth > Connect Device > Add New. This will make your vehicle available for pairing.

On your phone, scroll down from your Bluetooth menu to the list of available devices. When it appears, select MY-CAR.

Look at your vehicle’s display for a PIN, then enter that PIN on your phone.

Confirm your device by selecting OK to complete Bluetooth pairing.

If there are any additional pop-ups after you finish pairing your phone via Bluetooth, confirm them. This will make CarPlay pairing easier.

Make sure that Siri is enabled on your iPhone.

With your Infiniti still in Bluetooth mode, press and hold the voice command button on your steering wheel for a few seconds.

On your iPhone, select Settings > General > CarPlay.

Check out the available cars, then select your car from the list.

If this process doesn’t work, you can also try turning your vehicle off and back on, then repeating steps 8 through 10. Sometimes it also helps to connect your iPhone to your car via USB, but this option won’t set up wireless CarPlay.
