Where can I find my Alfa Romeo’s paint code?

The paint code for your Alfa Romeo is a silver sticker and is frequently found under your car's trunk lid or the hood. Depending on your car’s year or model, it can be tricky to find. If the sticker isn’t readily found under the trunk or hood, try checking in the rear compartment or wheel housing
Alfa Romeo's paint codes are usually three digits long, followed by “a/” and another letter.

What if there’s no paint code on the car’s label?

If you have an older Alfa Romeo, you’ll need to look up the paint coding using the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). The VIN should be a clearly visible string of 17 numbers, and you should be able to find it in several different places.
Here’s where you can find the VIN for your Alfa Romeo:
  • If you’re looking for the VIN on an older model, you can usually find it under the hood, either on the suspension strut or stamped on the bulkhead.
  • For Alfa Romeos built after 2005, you can find the chassis number printed on the original windshield.
  • Alpha Romeo 159, Brear, Mito, and Guilietta models have the VIN stamped into the chassis frame front footwell
  • If your sticker is missing or hard to read, you should be able to find the VIN on your car’s title documentation and registration
You can use the VIN to get the paint code by either searching online or calling your car’s dealership.

Where can I get paint for my Alfa Romeo?

After finding your car’s paint codes, you can order the paint! Many different
brick-and-mortar
or online businesses offer car paint touch-up packages. As long as you have your car’s paint code, you can pick the color from wherever is most convenient.

Paint Touch-up Tips

Once you have your paint, it's time to make those blemishes vanish! Here are some tips to help make your paint job run a little smoother:
  • Wash the damaged area with soap and water
  • If there’s rust around the scratch, use fine sandpaper or a wire brush to remove the corrosion.
  • Apply primer to any bare plastic or metal you want to paint—and be sure to let it dry overnight.
  • Paint the area with the paint color that matches the rest of your car. You’ll want to apply several coats—but don’t do them all at once. Wait about 20 minutes between coats and let the last layer dry overnight.
  • After waiting three days for the paint to dry, buff the area with a rubbing compound to bring out the shine!
Please note that if you’re only touching up a
small area
on your Alfa Romeo’s paint job, you might want to use a paint pen or a smaller paint pack instead of a whole can.

This app is great, but the customer service is even better! Not to mention convenient! My husband and I got the lowest rate (much lower than the rates I was finding online through my own searches), quickly, and pretty much all through text message! Thank you so much for a hassle free experience👍
