The bolt pattern (also known as a lug pattern) explains the number of bolts and the diameter of a circle they form. So, for a 5x5 bolt pattern, five bolts create a circle with a five-inch diameter.

Lug pattern isn’t the only information you need to know when changing your tires. You’ll also need your Jeep’s wheel size, stud size, center bore measurement, and torque specifications.

Here’s all the pertinent information you’ll need to change your 2021 Jeep Wrangler wheel:

Factory wheel size: 17-18, 20

Stud size: M14 x 1.5

Center bore: 71.5 mm

Wheel tightening torque: 176 Nm

How to measure your 2021 Jeep Wrangler’s bolt pattern

While we promise the 5x5 bolt pattern is correct, it's helpful to know how to check your Jeep’s bolt pattern yourself. To do so, all you’ll need is a measuring tape or ruler.

To confirm the first number, all you need to do is count the number of bolts. Pretty easy, right?

To confirm the diameter, you’ll need to use your measuring tape or ruler to measure from the outer edge of the lug hole to the center of the opposite bolt. Since there are only five bolts on the Wrangler, you should end up between two bolts and just measure straight across.

The number of lugs and the diameter they create is your bolt pattern. In this case, 5x5.
