2013 Ford Mustang bolt pattern

Mustangs may have changed quite a bit over the years, but the Mustang’s bolt pattern hasn’t changed since 1994. The majority of Mustangs have a bolt pattern of 5x4.5 inches, or 5x114.3mm. If you need some help translating what that means, we’ve got your back.
Every bolt pattern (or lug pattern) follows this formula:
# of bolts x diameter of the circle they form
A 5x4.5 lug pattern means that each Mustang has five bolts arranged in a circle with a 4.5-inch diameter.
If you’re changing your Mustang’s tires, you’ll need a bit more information than the lug pattern. You’ll also need to know the stud size, wheel offset, center bore measurement, and torque details:
  • Factory wheel size: 16” to 17”
  • Stud size: 1/2x20 (1/2 inch stud with 20 threads per inch)
  • Offset: 20 to 45 mm
  • Center bore: 70.5 mm
  • Wheel tightening torque: 100 lb-ft

How to measure your Ford Mustang’s bolt pattern

The numbers above should be sufficient for you to be able to change your Mustang’s wheels…but if you have any doubts, you can always measure your bolt pattern yourself.
Just grab a tape measure or ruler, pick a bolt, and measure the distance from the outer edge of the lug hole to the middle of the opposite bolt. Since there are five bolts, you’ll land between bolts by measuring in a straight line, so just choose one of the two bolts across from the one you chose, then measure to the middle.
This number will give you the diameter—the second half of your bolt pattern. Then just count the bolts to complete your bolt pattern!
