2008 Ram 1500 bolt pattern

If you’ve previously owned a Ram 1500, your bolt pattern shouldn’t have changed. While
Ram bolt patterns
change, depending on the model, Ram 1500s up until the 2018 model year have the same bolt pattern of 5x5.5. Since this number doesn’t mean much just by looking at it, here’s what it stands for:
# of bolts x diameter of the circle they form
Simply put, each of your Ram 1500 wheels has five bolts in a 5.5-inch diameter circle.
That said, you’ll need a few other pieces of information before buying new wheels—mainly your factory wheel size, stud size, offset, center bore, and wheel tightening torque.
  • Factory wheel size: 17”, 20”
  • Stud size: 9/16" x 18” or 9/16 inch stud with 18 threads per inch
  • Offset: 10 to 20 mm
  • Center bore: 77.8 mm
  • Wheel tightening torque: N/A

How to measure your Ram’s bolt pattern

In case you want to measure another car or just know how to do it yourself, here’s how to measure your Ram’s bolt pattern:
  • Gather a measuring tape or ruler
  • Choose a wheel and then pick a bolt
  • Measure from the center of that bolt to the opposite bolt (since there’s an odd number of bolts, just choose one of the two that are closest)
And you have the diameter of your wheel! Once you count the number of bolts on your wheel, you’ll have the bolt pattern.
