How often to change the oil in a 2007 Honda CRV

With the hood open, locate and remove the oil fill cap.

From underneath the engine, locate and remove the oil drain bolt. Make sure that you have your drain pan in position underneath beforehand though.

While the oil is draining into the pan, remove the old oil filter. When it’s done draining, you can install the new filter.

Replace the oil drain bolt.

Refill fill the engine oil using the fresh motor oil. Then, replace the oil fill cap and close the hood.

And just like that, you’ve successfully changed your own oil! It’s a good idea to run the engine for another few minutes afterward in order to check for leaks. And be sure to pour the old oil into a sealable container so that you can take it to a recycling center later—failure to do so is illegal in many states.
