background
You can make Jeep car payments online, by phone, by mail, or in person, depending on your preference. Just don’t count on being able to put those payments on your credit card.
You might be considering adopting a new Jeep
car loan
, or you might be wondering how to make a payment on your current one. Either way, let’s explore Jeep loan payments to learn more about pricing, payment methods, and financing options.

How to pay your Jeep car bill

There are several ways to pay a Jeep car bill, and you should choose the one that works best for you. The following methods are available to you when it comes time to make a payment:

Online

The easiest way to make a Jeep car payment is online. You can do this by logging in to
My Chrysler Capital
, Jeep’s online portal designed to accept internet payments. On this site, you can make a one-time payment using your checking or savings account for no additional cost. If you’d like, you can also use your debit card, but that will cost you an additional fee of $2.75.
If you’d like, you can also set up automatic payments online. With AutoPay, your car payment is automatically withdrawn from an account of your choice every month on the same day. This eliminates the possibility of late payments and makes car payments easy.

By phone

If you’d prefer, you can call Chrysler’s toll-free payment line at  (855) 563-5635. You’ll need to provide your Chrysler Capital account number to complete this type of payment.
On this toll-free line, you can make a payment from either your checking account or your savings account, whichever you prefer. Debit card payments are also accepted, but they incur an extra charge of $3.75 this way and, if you’re on the phone with a live agent, that extra charge jumps to $10.95.

By mail

If you’d like, you can also make your car payment via mail. The address that you’ll use for this type of payment should be listed on the pay stub attached to your monthly car bill
In the envelope, include your payment coupon and a check or money order for the total amount of your car payment. Remember, paying via mail requires seven to 10 days of processing time, so make sure your payment won’t be late if your check takes a while to arrive!

If you’d like to make your car payment in person, you can use a money-transferring service such as Western Union, PayNearMe (which can be found at stores like 7-Eleven and CVS Pharmacy), or CheckFreePay. All of these methods of payment require you to use your bank account. These third-party options may charge an additional fee for their services, too.

Can I make my Jeep payments with a credit card?

Unfortunately, no. Your Jeep payments must be made via a debit card, bank account, money order, or check. Credit card payments are not allowed.

Is there a grace period for Jeep car payments?

When borrowing with Jeep, you’ll get a grace period of 30 days before you face consequences for
late loan payments
. After 30 days have passed, you might be hit with additional fees, increased interest, or even a seizure of your vehicle, depending on how behind you get.

How much are Jeep payments?

Jeep loan payments are typically pretty high, but that’s because Jeep offers a lot of different options in terms of trim. If you opt for the base model Jeep, you’ll often see a pretty average resulting loan payment!
The following table details the
average loan payments
for some of the most popular 2023 Jeep base models. Keep in mind, however, that these payments are based on a 72-month loan with a 4.90% APR and a 10% down payment. If any of those factors are different in your car loan, your monthly payment could look very different from the one listed here.
Model

Loan payments change drastically based on factors like your credit score, your vehicle’s
trade-in value
, the term length you choose for your loan, and the down payment you make. A
72-month term
, for example, results in lower monthly payments than a 48-month loan term because the cost is spread out over a longer period. It’s also worth mentioning that used vehicles come with higher
APRs
than new-car loans.
“When we added a new car to our family, we were shocked at how high our current insurer was going to hike our rates. We used

for some comparison shopping and are now saving around $1000 a year. Thank you, Jerry!” —Darius P.

FAQs

The lowest credit score Jeep will finance is 500 but, realistically, most lenders will look for a score of at least 650 before going through with a lease or loan.
Certain Jeep buyers with excellent credit may qualify for 0% APR but, realistically, you’ll be looking at an interest rate between 1.9% and 5.9%, even if your credit is excellent.
The best Jeep vehicle is different for everyone since everyone uses their vehicle differently. If you plan to do a lot of off-road driving, for example, the Rubicon would be a great choice. If you’re looking for a more family-friendly model, though, the Grand Wagoneer might be a better option for you.
