How to pay your Chevy car bill

You can make a payment on your financed Chevy online, by phone, by mail, or in person through a third-party banking service. The simplest way to make sure that your payments are on time every month is to set up automatic payments online, but you shouldn’t do this if you’re worried about an account overdraft.

Online

Sign in to your
MyAccount
(button in the top right corner), select Payments, and select Manage Payments to add or switch payment methods or set up automatic payments. You could also make payments manually through your bank using your GM Financial account number or by using the
GM Financial Mobile app
.

By mail

You can always pay your bills the old-fashioned way—by sending a check in the mail along with the payment coupon from your billing statement. Remember to time this in advance of the payment date to avoid any late fees. Refer to the table below to determine which mailing address to use for your payment.

By phone

You can call GM Financial at 1-800-284-2271 to make a payment and even set up recurring payments. Phone payments might be charged an additional fee. You could also pay by phone through your bank if they offer this service.

In person

While you can’t make a GM Financial payment in person at your local dealership, you could make a payment by going to your bank or a third-party service such as Western Union or MoneyGram.
Most banks will be able to help you make payments via your bank account, but you’ll need to use a third-party service if you want to pay your Chevy bill with cash or credit. These will typically charge convenience fees, but it may be your only option if you want to pay with cash or credit.

Can I make my Chevy payments with a credit card?

Yes. You may have the option of paying with a credit card through the MyAccount online service, but some customers might only be able to pay with credit through a third-party service like Western Union.

Is there a grace period for Chevrolet car payments?

No, GM Financial does not offer a grace period for late Chevy car payments.

How much are Chevrolet payments?

Current Chevrolet vehicles range from $22,895 to $65,895 in starting MSRP. At these prices, paying for a financed new car could be quite expensive. Using the
U.S. News Car Payment Calculator
is a helpful way to predict how much your car payment might be based on the terms of your loan.
Assuming a 10% down payment, 72-month term, 5% sales tax, and 4.90% interest rate, this table shows what kinds of monthly payments you could expect from the base trims of different Chevy vehicles. We’re also not taking tax, title, license, dealer fees, or optional equipment, into account, so you can expect your actual monthly payment to be slightly higher than the amounts shown in this table.

Remember, your actual Chevy payment will depend on variables like your down payment, credit score, and the
trade-in value
of your current vehicle, just to name a few. Keep in mind that you’ll have lower monthly payments for longer terms, but you’ll also pay more in interest over time.
