The Corvette might be the best Chevrolet ever made, but it’s certainly not for everyone. If you’re in the market for a new Chevrolet that isn’t a two-seater sports car starting at almost $66,000, here are the models to look at in 2023.

Keep in mind that in addition to a standard three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty and five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, all 2020 and newer Chevrolets are eligible for a complimentary first-time maintenance visit during the first 12 months of ownership, including an oil change and tire rotation.

2023 Chevrolet Suburban: $53,600 – $78,800 MSRP

For drivers looking to haul an awful lot of passengers or cargo (or both), the

Chevy Suburban

is a great bet. Clocking in at a curb weight of 5,503 pounds, this truck-based behemoth seats up to eight and boasts a whopping 144.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the front row.

If all three rows of seats are in use, the Suburban’s cargo volume shrinks to a still-incredible 41.5 cubes. Add a maximum towing capacity of 8,300 pounds (available on RWD models with the 355-hp base V8 engine), and you’re looking at a vehicle that can take just about anything just about anywhere.

Just don’t expect it to do it on the cheap. The Suburban pays the price for its outsize power in dismal fuel efficiency ratings: between 16 mpg and 17 mpg combined, depending on your powertrain configuration.

2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: $35,600 – $70,100

The mighty

, cousin to the

GMC Sierra

, falls behind other trucks in the full-size pickup class, but it’s still among the best Chevrolets you can buy.

Whether you’re looking for a sturdy work truck or an off-road trail boss, you can find it in the Silverado. You’ll have your pick of a range of engines, from a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder good for 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque to a 6.2-liter 420-hp V8 with up to 460 lb-ft of torque. There’s also a diesel engine for those who want it, and features on offer from an off-road suspension and hill descent control to a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless charging pad, and advanced driver assistance features. You can also choose between the Regular Cab, Double Cab, and Crew Cab configurations.

The real reason to buy a Silverado is the 13,300-lb maximum towing capacity and the overall old-school pickup power. Opting for all-wheel drive (AWD) will drop your fuel economy slightly, but on a truck this gnarly, it’s worth it.

2023 Chevy Bolt EV: $26,500 – $29,700

Now for a horse of a completely different color (may we suggest Ice Blue Metallic?). The

2023 Chevy Bolt EV

is a high-value, low-frills electric hatchback that gets Edmunds.com’s top pick among electric cars.

Why? The affordable starting price is a big part of the answer: at just under $27,000, just about everyone who can afford a new car can afford a Bolt. And as an EV, the Bolt instantly evades the Achilles heel of Chevy’s other top-rated models:

But as different as the Bolt is from, say, the Suburban, it reflects some of the strengths of Chevy’s best trucks and SUVs: it’s surprisingly roomy, with decent storage space that includes a cool hidden compartment under the floor. If you’re looking for more space for both luggage and people, check out the slightly bigger Chevy Bolt EUV.

The Bolt’s 259-mile range isn’t going to compete with, say, a

Tesla Model S

, but if you’re shopping for Chevys you’re not likely to buy a Model S anyway. For the price, the Bolt’s driving range is competitive, though it lags behind competitors in charging speed: prepare to be patient.

The worst car in the 2023 Chevrolet lineup is likely the Malibu sedan—the only sedan currently manufactured by Chevrolet, and the last (for now, at least). The Malibu is set to be discontinued after the 2023 model year, and it’s not hard to see why: lackluster acceleration, dated styling, and lukewarm reliability ratings add up to a car that’s essentially one big meh.
