Martin, Aston Martin. That’s how we assume these luxury sports cars, made famous after their appearance in the 1960s James Bond films, would introduce themselves if they could. Aston Martin is a genre-defining luxury car, acclaimed for its style, speed, and timelessness.
Founded in 1913, the British manufacturer Aston Martin has curated a reputation for elegance, sensuality, and power, thanks to a collection of iconic cars. From the DB5’s appearance in the 1964 Bond movie Goldfinger to the current lineup that can all reach a top speed of 200 mph, Aston Martin has continuously redefined luxury and exceeded our expectations.

Is Aston Martin a luxury car?

Aston Martin is a luxury car manufacturer. And to many, it is the luxury car manufacturer. Their cars are almost completely handcrafted, finished with high-quality materials, and powered by impeccable engines that set speed records.

What makes a luxury car?

Yes, an Aston Martin is a luxury car, but what does that mean exactly? While there isn’t one all-encompassing definition of a ‘luxury vehicle’, there are some characteristics of each Aston Martin that denote the quality, comfort, and reliability that most consider “luxury”:
  • Performance: Since its founding in 1913, Aston Martin has prioritized impressive engines under the hood.
  • Comfort: These cars are full of high-quality materials, like walnut and genuine leather, as well as supportive seats and spacious cabins that scream comfort.
  • Technology: From premium sound systems to connectivity to infotainment, luxury cars are on the cutting edge.
  • Style: Eye-catching lines, sleek colors, and aluminum and carbon fiber components: The Aston Martin is one of the most stylish around.

Is Aston Martin a good luxury brand?

You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who denies Aston Martin as one of the best luxury brands in the game. Each car is handcrafted using authentic materials and powerful engineering to create a ride that feels as good as it looks. Plus, with over 100 years of experience behind them, the manufacturer has built up a reputation for reliability
The one thing that not everyone loves? The price. Aston Martin's current lineup consists of four models in production, with the least expensive base-level Vantage starting at $142,086

A heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, 1,000-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system, and self-park feature are also available. This model is perfect for those looking for truly dextrous handling; the drive is as satisfyingly smooth as it is powerful.

Aston Martin DBS

The 2022 DBS is the top model in the Aston Martin line—and the most expensive, starting at $338,786. As a grand-touring sports car, emphasis is placed on comfort and roominess for long trips, short trips, and everything in between.
The interior is a masterclass in comfort, full of touches like leather sports seats, open-pore ash wood, and satin-finished chrome. The total trunk space is approximately nine cubic feet. That’s limited, but most use the back seat for extra storage space since it's too small to fit adult passengers. The 715-horsepower V-12 engine gets you from 0 to 60 in just 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 211 mph
Standard features include:
  • 21-inch silver-forged aluminum wheels
  • Leather-wrapped power-adjustable sports seate
  • Heated seats
  • Dual-zone automatic air conditioning
  • SiriusXM AM/FM/HD/Satellite radio
  • 8.0-inch infotainment display

The DBS is also available in a soft-top convertible version known as the Volante

Aston Martin Vantage

The Aston Martin Vantage sports car starts at $142,086, making it the least expensive of the current lineup. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t impress both drivers and bystanders alike, as it still inspires all the reverence associated with the Aston Martin brand.
The Vantage is available as a fixed or soft-top, and as either a standard coupe or a performance-focused F1 edition. Whichever you choose, you’ll get a pretty powerful V8 engine spurring an athletic, although sometimes loud, riding experience. Plus, plenty of customization options make even an entry-level model feel one-of-a-kind.
Standard features include:
  • 8.0-inch infotainment display
  • Aston Martin audio system
  • Bluetooth compatibility
  • Built-in navigation
  • Sports seats with power adjustments and memory

While the DBS isn’t the top of the line when it comes to Aston Martin, its lower price tag makes it a popular choice for those who want all the esteem and opportunity without spending a third of a million dollars.

Aston Martin luxury SUVs

Right now, the only SUV manufactured by Aston Martin is the DBX. A departure from the sports-car aesthetic associated with the maker, the DBX is their successful attempt at a ute. Retaining the sleek aesthetic and smooth handling of the sportier models, it adds 22 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seat, and 54 cubic feet with the seats folded down.
Inside, the cabin boasts stitched leather, soft-touch materials, and microsuede details. Additional standard features include:
  • 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster
  • Ambient lighting
  • Three-zone climate control
  • Heated seats
  • 10.2-inch infotainment screen
  • Apple CarPlay
  • Navigation
  • 14-speaker stereo
  • USB and charging outlets
  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • 360-degree camera system
  • Automatic high-beams
  • Power tailgate
