How much does Land Rover car insurance cost?

Since entering the U.S. market in 1987, Land Rover has developed a reputation for producing robust and capable luxury SUVs and off-road vehicles that can easily handle challenging terrain. The company’s lineup includes vehicles known for their distinctive design, premium craftsmanship, and exceptional off-road capabilities.

Land Rover owners pay, on average, $1,164 each year for state-minimum coverage, 8% more than the national average. But you need to remember that’s just an average—your actual car insurance quotes will be based on your unique driver profile.

Auto insurance companies use a variety of factors to calculate your rate, including your age, driving record, and your car’s make and model year. That means that, in reality, there is no “average” car insurance quote that’s right for everyone. Fortunately, Jerry is here to help you find the best rates from the best providers.

Best car insurance companies for Land Rover drivers

As you shop for car insurance, it’s essential that you look for the right insurance policy for you and your vehicle.

The best plan for you will depend, in part, on your age, location, driving history, and insurance claims record. Because of that, there is no one-size-fits-all insurance policy. To find the best coverage at the right rate, you’ll have to shop around and compare offerings from a variety of providers.

Luckily, Jerry can help with that. We conducted the largest insurance survey in the nation to help you find the optimal coverage without breaking the bank.

How’d we get these scores?

Jerry’s experts conducted one of the largest car insurance surveys in the United States. We surveyed 15,000 policyholders, in all 50 states, over the span of 18 months. These policyholders hold insurance policies with 87 different insurance companies. We surveyed policyholders to gauge their satisfaction with their insurance carriers in: policy cost, customer service, buying and renewal experience, as well as claim experience. These scores were all reported by real customers of the insurance companies.

The Land Rover model that you own will affect your insurance rates. Some of the model-specific elements that can influence your premiums include the following:

  • Safety features: Vehicles with advanced safety features and top safety ratings tend to see lower insurance rates.
  • Vehicle value: High-value vehicles, like the Land Rover Range Rover, typically have increased insurance costs.
  • Vehicle class: Full-size SUVs and pickup trucks usually cost more to insure than small cars and compact SUVs.
  • Engine size: Performance and sports cars with high-power engines represent a risk to insurance companies, resulting in increased rates.
  • Availability of replacement parts: High-end vehicles and discontinued cars typically have expensive or hard-to-find replacement parts, which can result in increased insurance rates.
  • Cost of repairs: Luxury vehicles, like Land Rovers, tend to be more expensive to repair. This fact can cause your insurance rates to climb.

Your state requires you to maintain a minimum level of insurance coverage. That requirement usually includes varying amounts of basic liability coverage, which features both bodily injury liability insurance and property damage liability.

Full coverage, on the other hand, includes collision and comprehensive coverage. This form of insurance provides near-complete financial protection for you, your Land Rover, and other motorists and passengers on the road.

What factors affect Land Rover car insurance rates?

Many factors affect how your Land Rover car insurance rate is calculated.

  • Vehicle age: New cars tend to see higher insurance costs than older used vehicles.
  • Vehicle cost: Expensive vehicles, like the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, typically cost more to insure than economy cars.
  • Parts cost: Insurance rates are usually higher for vehicles with expensive or hard-to-find parts.
  • Your age: Drivers under 25 and over 75 pay the highest insurance rates.
  • Your driving record and insurance claims history: If you have a history of driving violations or insurance claims, you’ll likely pay inflated rates.
  • Where you store your car: If you park your car outside, insurance companies will likely view it as an increased risk due to the higher likelihood of theft, vandalism, and weather damage.

Your Land Rover car insurance rates may also depend on the following specific factors:

  • Imports: Many Land Rovers and Land Rover parts are imported to the U.S., which can result in increased replacement costs.
  • Price: Land Rovers come with a lofty price tag, which can cause insurance rates to climb.
  • Safety features: Cars with advanced safety features tend to see lower insurance rates.

Land Rover insurance cost for young drivers

Teen drivers from 16 to 19 pay the steepest insurance rates out of any age group. Experts recommend full coverage for teens due to their increased chances of being involved in accidents.

Land Rover insurance cost for senior drivers

The age group with the second highest average insurance premiums is seniors over 75. Car insurance rates for seniors are typically high because older drivers are more likely to be involved in accidents. Furthermore, older drivers are more likely to become injured as a result of an accident, causing hefty medical bills and higher insurance rates.

Land Rover insurance cost for drivers with driving violations

Your driving record also plays a major role in determining your insurance premium. Drivers with a clean record tend to see low rates. However, you should expect to pay a higher rate if you have any of the following offenses on your record:

  • Speeding tickets
  • DUIs
  • At-fault accidents
  • Reckless driving
  • Driving on a suspended license

Cheapest car insurance for Land Rover drivers with a speeding ticket

A single speeding ticket for between one and five miles over the limit won’t raise your rates too drastically. But if you have multiple tickets or a single criminal speeding ticket, you’ll likely face steep rates. Jerry is proud to help drivers with different levels of speeding tickets find quality coverage.

How can I lower the cost of my Land Rover car insurance?

There are several methods you can use to lower your Land Rover car insurance costs.

  • Compare rates. The most effective way to find affordable rates is to shop around for insurance coverage. Jerry simplifies this process by providing you with free quotes from over 50 of the nation’s top insurance agencies.
  • Bundle your insurance plans. Another shrewd way to reduce your monthly bill is by bundling your homeowners and auto insurance with the same company.
  • Participate in a telematics program. Telematics programs may track driving habits and reward safe drivers with lower rates. Many insurers offer insurance discounts for drivers who participate in these programs.
  • Raise your deductible. The deductible is the amount of money you must pay out of pocket before the insurance provider will pay for your claim. Increasing your deductible is one way to reduce your rate.
  • Reduce your coverage. Older and less valuable cars don’t need as much coverage as expensive new models. If you drive an older Land Rover, you can save some cash by reducing your coverage.
  • Purchase a used car. New cars tend to face steeper insurance rates than older used cars. Driving a used Land Rover may be a great way to cut down on your insurance bills
