It’s true that companies care a lot about your make and model. However, even two drivers with identical Land Rovers may pay very different premiums. For example, age is a key predictor of risk, as is zip code and vehicle usage.

The best car insurance companies for Land Rover LR2 HSE owners

The truth is that your vehicle type is not the only factor affecting your premium. So, there’s no way to identify the “best” company simply based on your make and model.
Cheap rates for Land Rover LR2 HSE drivers depend on the driver’s unique profile—and which company they select. Some companies weigh factors like at-fault accidents and credit score more heavily, whereas others care more about your age and profession than your driving record.
To help drivers choose an insurance provider and find the cheapest car insurance rate, Jerry surveyed thousands of drivers. We asked about major companies like
Allstate
and
State Farm
as well as smaller local insurance companies.
Here’s what Land Rover drivers had to say about

How'd we get these scores?

Jerry's experts conducted one of the largest car insurance surveys in the United States. We surveyed 15,000 policyholders, in all 50 states, over the span of 18 months. These policyholders hold insurance policies with 87 different insurance companies. We surveyed policyholders to gauge their satisfaction with their insurance carriers in: policy cost, customer service, buying and renewal experience, as well as claim experience. These scores were all reported by real customers of the insurance companies.

How much car insurance do you need for a Land Rover LR2 HSE?

You must carry at least
minimum coverage
on your Land Rover. This means following your state’s laws, which typically require
liability coverage
with
property damage
and
bodily injury
clauses.
Many Land Rover LR2 HSE drivers prefer
full coverage
which offers protection for their own vehicles. With
comprehensive coverage
and
collision coverage
, this policy kicks in (after deductible) to repair or replace the vehicle after covered damage.
You may wish to add other coverages like
uninsured motorist protection
or
roadside assistance
, as well as higher liability limits of either 50/100/50 or 100/300/100. Although these changes can bump up the cost of your insurance policy, you and your finances will ultimately be better protected.

Land Rover LR2 HSE insurance cost by model year

In addition to the Land Rover model, a vehicle’s model year is a key risk factor according to insurance companies. That’s because each model year has a unique set of safety features, tech features, and costs. Some have better airbags or safety ratings, for instance.
In general, a new car in the Land Rover family costs more to insure. Their MSRP and cash value are higher and their repair costs are higher, too. If you drive an older model, you’ll likely pay a lower rate. Auto insurance rates tend to decrease at the three-year mark.
