How'd we get these scores?

Jerry's experts conducted one of the largest car insurance surveys in the United States. We surveyed 15,000 policyholders, in all 50 states, over the span of 18 months. These policyholders hold insurance policies with 87 different insurance companies. We surveyed policyholders to gauge their satisfaction with their insurance carriers in: policy cost, customer service, buying and renewal experience, as well as claim experience. How much car insurance do you need for a Jeep Cherokee Limited?

Minimum coverage insurance
is the minimum amount of coverage legally required in your state, which typically includes basic liability insurance.
Full coverage insurance
, on the other hand, provides financial protection for damage to yourself, your vehicle, and other vehicles and passengers involved in an accident.

How do Jeep Cherokee Limited insurance quotes compare to other Jeep Cherokee car insurance rates?

Several factors influence car insurance rates, including your vehicle’s trim level. Because every trim level of the Jeep Cherokee has unique features, car insurance rates will vary based on your car's options.
The Cherokee Limited is Jeep’s top-of-the-line and most luxurious pick for the model and, therefore, has the highest MSRP. It boasts features like an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a nine-speaker premium audio system, a panoramic sunroof, and an automated parking system.
The Limited also comes with the option of adding the Elite package, which features larger wheels, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a hands-free liftgate, and integrated navigation system—more convenience features for the driver, but additional costs to repair or replace for insurers in the event of a collision.
But features are only one part of calculating insurance rates. Insurers also consider your vehicle’s power and performance.
The newest model (2022) comes standard with a 3.2-liter V6 engine (271 hp and 239 lb-ft) but could be upgraded to a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder (270 hp and 295 lb-ft). While more power makes for better performance, insurers see it as more risk. As such, vehicles with larger and more powerful engines typically have higher insurance rates.
The Limited would likely see the highest insurance rates compared to other Cherokee models, assuming no additional options or packages are added. However, adding optional features to lower-level trims can raise their insurance rates.

When determining insurance premiums, insurance providers take many factors into consideration. MSRP, trim level, model year, theft rates, and the cost of repairs are some of the many factors that can influence how much your insurance costs.
Insurance companies also look at your car’s safety. A vehicle with advanced driver assistance and crash avoidance systems are designed to help drivers avoid mistakes on the road that could land them in a collision. Having these types of safety features not only benefits the driver but also insurance rates.
All Jeep Cherokees come with a list of standard safety features, including:
  • Blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert: Warns you if there is a vehicle in your blind spot during a lane change or when reversing.
  • Forward collision mitigation: Warns you of a possible collision and will apply the brakes in specific scenarios.
  • Lane-keeping assist: Steers your vehicle back into your lane if you drift over the lane divider.
The Limited upgrades the standard safety features and adds:
  • Adaptive cruise control: Maintains a set distance between your vehicle and the one in front of you.
  • Automated parking system: Assists drivers in completing parallel and perpendicular parking.
