It’s important to remember that auto insurance rates can vary significantly, even for the same car model and trim. For instance, driver age has a major impact on rates: an 18-year-old driver will pay a much higher premium for a t Infiniti Q50 Luxe insurance policy than a 30-year-old driver.

How'd we get these scores?

Jerry's experts conducted one of the largest car insurance surveys in the United States. We surveyed 15,000 policyholders, in all 50 states, over the span of 18 months. These policyholders hold insurance policies with 87 different insurance companies. We surveyed policyholders to gauge their satisfaction with their insurance carriers in: policy cost, customer service, buying and renewal experience, as well as claim experience. How much car insurance do you need for a Infiniti Q50 Luxe?

Minimum coverage insurance
is the minimum amount of coverage legally required in your state, which typically includes basic liability insurance.
Full coverage insurance
, on the other hand, provides financial protection for damage to yourself, your vehicle, and other vehicles and passengers involved in an accident.

How do Infiniti Q50 Luxe insurance quotes compare to other Infiniti Q50 car insurance rates?

The Infiniti Q50 is available in three trim levels—Luxe, Sport, and Red Sensory 400.
The trim level of your Q50 plays a significant role in how much you’ll pay to insure it. Each trim level comes with unique features that can increase or decrease insurance costs, such as tech and safety features, engine size, and the overall MSRP of the vehicle.
Larger and more powerful engines mean more power and better vehicle performance, which increases accident risk and, subsequently, insurance costs. Similarly, trim levels with more tech and/or luxury features have higher repair and replacement costs, which drives up insurance rates.
Together, these factors will influence insurance costs for higher trim levels, but adding features to lower trims can also increase insurance rates.
For example, the Luxe trim level comes standard with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine (300 horsepower, 295 lb-ft of torque) and rear-wheel drive. Unlike many models, upgrading to a more powerful engine on the Luxe trim isn’t available unless you upgrade to the Red Sport 400. However, drivers can upgrade to all-wheel drive on their Luxe—but while AWD systems offer better driving performance, they’re more complex and costly to repair than FWD or RWD systems, which increases insurance costs.
Similarly, opting for a hybrid Q50 over a gas-powered model will also increase insurance rates. All 2014-2018 Q50 models had the option of hybrid engines, and while hybrid drivers save on fuel costs, they make up for it with insurance costs. Hybrid engines are more expensive to insure due to a higher MSRP and replacement parts that are more costly. As such, insuring a 2018 Q50 Hybrid Luxe will cost significantly more than a 2018 Q50 Luxe.
Higher trim levels with more features are more costly to repair and replace, leading to higher insurance rates. Opting for more fuel-friendly engines will save you gas money, but it will also cost you more to insure.

Infiniti Q50 Luxe insurance cost by model year

Your Infiniti Q50 Luxe insurance costs depend in part on when your vehicle was manufactured—i.e., the model year.
Newer models tend to be more expensive to insure, thanks to a higher cash value and hard-to-replace tech. If you drive an older Infiniti Q50 Luxe model, you’ll likely pay a lower rate.

Safety ratings and safety features are essential when it comes to calculating insurance costs. Insurers want to minimize risk, meaning a safer vehicle is less of a liability. As such, cars with more advanced safety features and better safety ratings will typically see lower insurance costs.
Some of the standard safety features in the Q50 include:
  • Forward collision mitigation: Provides a warning when there is an impending collision and applies the brakes in specific scenarios.
  • Auto-dimming rearview mirror: Built-in sensors automatically dim the rearview mirror to adjust brightness due to glare from headlights behind you.
  • Surround-view camera system: Provides a top-down view of your Q50 and its surroundings for better parking control.
  • Adaptive cruise control: Automatically adjusts your speed to maintain a constant distance between your vehicle and the one in front of you.
  • Blind-spot monitor: Alerts you when there is a vehicle in the next lane over that’s in your blind spot.
  • Lane departure warning: Alters you if your vehicle begins to drift out of your lane.
Safety ratings are also an important consideration insurers look at when calculating premiums. Check out the table below to see how the Infiniti Q50 Luxe scored on safety from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
