How long is a Toyota Tundra?

The Toyota Tundra’s length ranges from 228.9 inches (19.1 feet) to 247.8 inches (20.7 feet) long, classifying it as a full-size pickup truck. The variation in length is due to a couple of different factors—namely cab size and bed size.

Cab sizes

When buying a Toyota Tundra, you’ll have three cab options: the
Access Cab
, the
Double Cab
, and the
CrewMax
The Access Cab, which offers more doors to make it easier to travel with passengers, was an option on the Tundra until 2006. You might still see this body style listed for older used trucks. Toyota Tundras with an Access Cab are 218.3 inches long (18.2 feet).
The Double Cab can vary a little more in size. Depending on which bed size it has, you could end up with a truck that’s between 233.6 and 252.5 inches long (19.5 and 21 feet, respectively).
The CrewMax is slightly smaller than the Double Cab. Depending on bed size, it might be between 233.6 and 247.8 inches long (19.5 and 20.7 feet, respectively).

Bed sizes

The Toyota Tundra offers a choice of three bed sizes. You can choose from a 5.5-foot bed, a 6.5-foot bed, or an 8.1-foot bed, depending on your needs.
It should be noted, however, that you can’t get every bed size with every cab style. If you opt for the Double Cab, you’ll have to choose between the 6.5-foot bed, which will make your truck 233.6 inches long total (19.5 feet), and the 8.1-foot bed, which will make your truck 252.5 inches long (21 feet).
If you opt for the CrewMax, you’ll have to choose between the 5.5-foot bed, which will make your truck 233.6 inches long (19.5 feet), and the 8.1-foot bed, which will make your truck 247.8 inches long (20.7 feet).

Will your Tundra fit in your garage?

Now that you know a little more about Toyota Tundra sizing, it’s time to think about where your new truck will live.
If you plan to park it in a garage, on average, American garages range from 20 to 24 feet in depth. This means that you’ll probably have enough space for your new truck, but if you opt for a larger Tundra and have a smaller garage, you might run into a few issues.
To make sure your garage is ready for a larger vehicle, it’s a good idea to measure the space before you bring home a new vehicle. Remember that you should give yourself a few extra inches on every side to make it easier to park your truck, get out, and walk around it.
If you have a 20-foot truck and a 20-foot garage, your truck won’t fit!
