How'd we get these scores?

Jerry's experts conducted one of the largest car insurance surveys in the United States. We surveyed 15,000 policyholders, in all 50 states, over the span of 18 months. These policyholders hold insurance policies with 87 different insurance companies. We surveyed policyholders to gauge their satisfaction with their insurance carriers in: policy cost, customer service, buying and renewal experience, as well as claim experience. These scores were all reported by real customers of the insurance companies.

How much does Ford Focus ST insurance cost?

The average cost to insure a Ford Focus ST is about $98 per month for minimum coverage liability insurance. For drivers who choose a full coverage policy, you can expect to pay around $188 per month.
Remember that these are just averages—the exact cost you’ll pay to insure your Ford Focus will depend on driver- and vehicle-specific factors.
For example, if you’re under 25, you can expect to pay above-average insurance rates due to a lack of driving experience, which increases accident risk. And because the Ford Focus ST is the model's performance-oriented trim, it further increases the risk of collisions. Combined, these two factors will lead to some of the highest insurance rates of any age group.
Take a look at the table below to see the average costs of car insurance for a Ford Focus ST.

How much car insurance do you need for a Ford Focus ST?

Minimum coverage insurance
is the minimum amount of coverage legally required in your state, which typically includes basic liability insurance.
Full coverage insurance
, on the other hand, provides financial protection for damage to yourself, your vehicle, and other vehicles and passengers involved in an accident.

How do Ford Focus ST insurance quotes compare to other Ford Focus car insurance rates?

Ford Focus auto insurance rates will vary based on several factors, including age, driving record, location, mileage, and your Focus trim level. It’s available in six trim levels—SE, SEL, Titanium, Electric, ST, and RS—all of which will cost different amounts to insure.
While driver-specific factors have a significant influence on how much you’ll pay to insure your Focus, the features of the Focus itself will also significantly influence rates.
Larger engines with better performance increase the risk of accidents and your risk as a policyholder, thereby increasing insurance rates. Similarly, trim levels with a higher MSRP and more tech and/or luxury features cost more to repair or replace in the event of a collision, driving up insurance rates.
The Focus ST is a performance-oriented version of the four-door hatchback that’s equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine generating 252 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, a six-speed manual transmission, and front-wheel drive. It’s a single trim level without the ability to upgrade to a more powerful engine. However, option packages on the ST—the ST2 or ST3 equipment groups—add features that can further increase the cost of insuring your car.
All of these factors will increase insurance costs for the Ford Focus ST, but adding optional features to other trim levels or choosing a higher trim can increase rates above what the ST would cost to insure. For example, the Focus Electric may cost more to insure than the Focus ST due to more complex systems that cost more to repair or replace.
