The Special Edition comes with an upgraded 2.3L I-4 engine with a higher compression ratio and VTEC technology. This increases the horsepower to 150 hp, up from the base 135 hp, and more torque. The Special Edition also comes with snazzy 15-inch silver aluminum wheels, giving the Accord more style. The remote keyless entry is also a welcomed feature for convenience.

The only catch is that these upgraded features would’ve cost shoppers an additional $5,140 above the base MSRP—which is quite steep! Fortunately, the price difference is more reasonable between the used 2000 Honda Accord trims. Shoppers may even find an SE trim for less than the base trim!
