Drive gently and use cruise control: Accelerating drastically burns a ton of fuel, so limiting that by using cruise control will help.

Empty the car out when possible: The more weight in the car, the more fuel it’ll use up, so limiting its cargo to what’s essential will lighten the engine’s load.
