The 2022 Honda Odyssey interior stands out from the competition with plenty of storage space, useful tech additions, and a quietest-in-class cabin.
A minivan should make your life easier, and the Odyssey accomplishes that task. Its second and third rows are among the most spacious in the class, and
the Odyssey’s length
allows for more storage space than some of its main competitors. But how well does its interior stack up overall?
In this article, we'll discuss the Honda Odyssey 2022's interior in detail, including its dimensions, storage, tech, and more!

2022 Honda Odyssey interior

While the Odyssey received a more extensive facelift for the 2021 model year, for the 2022 model year, Honda only made two changes: the addition of a new color called Radiant Red Metallic II, and the removal of the integrated vacuum cleaner option.
One thing has remained true—the Odyssey’s interior sits near the top of the class for its comfort, spaciousness, and tech features. Let’s dive in!

Seating

How many people can the 2022 Odyssey comfortably seat? Well, the answer depends on the trim. There's room for seven in the base-level
LX
model, while the rest of the line can fit up to eight passengers
Even in the third row, there is plenty of room for heads and legs, and all seats are comfortable. The 15 cup holders are a handy addition, too.

Tech

Those who value technology should skip the base Odyssey's 5.0-inch infotainment system screen in favor of the 8.0-inch touchscreen display that’s standard on
EX
trims and higher—plus, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard with the larger screen.
Most trims include a decent seven-speaker audio system with a subwoofer; audiophile minivan buyers should opt for the
Odyssey Elite
with its 11-speaker system. A 10.2-inch rear-seat entertainment screen is also standard on the Elite. The rear cabin camera monitor (which replaces the sunglass mirror and lets you see both the second and third rows) and cabin intercom are both very useful as well.
Some tech features, though, are hit-or-miss. A few advanced driver aids, such as adaptive cruise control, are slow to respond and prone to false positives—if you use those tools often, then the Odyssey might not be your top choice.

Storage

Minivans have little competition when it comes to storage; however, when compared to competitors like the
Toyota Sienna
and the
Chrysler Pacifica
, the Odyssey has more cargo space behind the third row (32.8 cubic feet), with the second-row bench folded down (86.6 to 89.2 cubic feet), and a larger max capacity (140.7 to 144.9 cubic feet)!

Style

Putting aside the Odyssey's functionality in terms of seating, storage, and technology, let's turn to how the interior looks and feels.
Modern and upscale, the Odyssey's interior features soft-touch materials on most touch points and leather upholstery beginning with the
EX-L
trim level. While it might be hard to make a minivan stylish, the overall sleekness and simplicity of the interior definitely put the 2022 Odyssey near the top of the pile.
