2021 Kia Telluride interior

According to Kelley Blue Book, an entry-level 2021
Kia Telluride LX
trim with front-wheel drive (FWD) will usually be listed around the $31,000 mark. On the expensive end, a good-as-new 2021 Nightfall edition
Kia Telluride SX
Prestige with all-wheel drive (AWD) could cost upwards of $45,000 when all is said and done.
The two mid-level trims are the Kia Telluride S and the
Telluride EX
. Even the base LX trim comes with standard synthetic leather seating and plenty of technology features, including a robust safety system.
Let’s look at what kinds of features will be inside a 2021 Kia Telluride, depending on which specific model you’re considering.

Seating

Every Kia Telluride has three rows of seating for up to seven or eight passengers, depending on the setup. With the more spacious seven-passenger arrangement, any adult passenger will be comfortable in one of the two middle-row captain’s seats.
Legroom is prioritized throughout the Kia Telluride’s interior, but expect the third row of seating to be most comfortable for shorter folks.
The Sofino synthetic leather upholstery was included as standard equipment for the bottom two trims, while the EX and SX feature genuine leather. Here are some other seating upgrades that were available for the 2021 Kia Telluride:
  • 10-way power driver’s seat (S, EX, SX)
  • Heated front seats (S, EX, SX)
  • Ventilated front seats (EX, SX)
  • Heated/ventilated 2nd-row seats (SX Prestige package)
  • Upgraded Nappa leather upholstery (SX Prestige package)

Tech

The 2021 Kia Telluride comes with a great helping of standard interior technology, particularly in terms of its driver assistance system.
Even with the lowest-tier Telluride model, you’ll get the following standard safety tech:
  • forward collision mitigation with automatic emergency braking
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert
  • Lane-keeping assist
The entry-level Telluride LX has an eight-inch touchscreen with its infotainment system, and it works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but every other model received a 10.25-inch screen. Rear-seat entertainment systems were an available add-on for every trim.
Upgraded models included the following additional technology:
  • Sunroof (S, EX, SX)
  • Driver Talk in-cabin microphone (EX, SX)
  • Wireless phone charger (EX, SX)
  • Dual-zone climate control (EX, SX)
  • Highway Driving Assist (EX, SX)
  • Premium ten-speaker Harman Kardon sound system (SX)
  • 360-degree camera system with Blind Spot View Monitor and surround-view monitor (SX)
  • Seven-inch digital instrument cluster panel (SX)
  • Head-up display (SX)

Storage

Without folding any seats down, you’ll have access to 21 cubic feet of cargo space in the back of a 2021 Kia Telluride. Fold down the third row, and that space more than doubles to 46 cubic feet. Folding down all the rear seats unlocks up to 87 cubic feet of storage.

Style

Most reviewers agreed that the 2021 Kia Telluride’s interior was more upscale than you might expect from a crossover SUV in its class and price range. Good quality materials and sleek design give the Telluride style, despite whatever may be its practical purpose.
Nightfall edition Tellurides are especially stylish thanks to their additional design accents.
