This special edition Ridgeline doesn’t add anything in the way of performance, utility, or convenience (although it comes with everything the RTL-E has) but it does make some cool cosmetic upgrades. The Black Edition Ridgeline gives you:

Honda Ridgeline Black Edition with Honda Performance Development Package

The 2021 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition is already cosmetically unique, and if you like the blacked-out look, you may want to stay there. But if you’re itching for even more upgrades to the truck’s looks department, consider buying the Honda Performance Development package—which, confusingly, doesn’t do anything to alter the performance.
Instead, you’ll get a meaner-looking front grille, black flames on the fenders, bronze-painted wheels, and special Honda Performance Development graphics in the bed and on the sides of the truck. While this package can certainly jazz up the look of the 2021 Ridgeline, it may not be worth an additional $2,800 if you’re not dying to have blazing fenders.
