The 2021 Buick Envision boasts a smooth and quiet ride experience, but the interior materials and limited cargo space are a little disappointing.
As far as small SUVs go, the 2021 model is certainly competent—but it’s not a standout.
Buick
fully redesigned the Envision this year, focusing on its driver assist features and infotainment screen. The new design is minimal and fresh, but you won’t find the extra touch of quality you get with many luxury SUVs.

2021 Buick Envision interior

If you’re looking for a small SUV that seats five, you’ll at least want to look at the 2021 Buick Envision. With a fair market range between $30,319 and $32,382, the Envision has a middle-of-the-road price tag, but it earns good ratings for its overall reliability.
The 2021 Buick Envision comes in the following trim levels:
As expected, you’ll get more posh features with the top-tier Avenir trim—like ventilated, massaging front seats and a nine-speaker Bose sound system. Still, the base Preferred trim comes with plenty of tech and safety goodies, like satellite radio and power-adjustable front seats

Seating

You’ll ride in style with the Envision’s comfortable seating. Passengers won’t get tons of legroom in the second row, but adults do find that riding in the backseat is a generally pleasant experience. Cloth and synthetic leather upholstered seating come standard with the base trim level—you’ll have to upgrade to the mid-level Essence if you’re keen on genuine leather seats
Here’s a more detailed look at the measurements of the 2021 Buick Envision’s seating:

Tech

Part of the 2021 Envision redesign focused on adding modern tech features for all trims. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and the sound quality from the Bose stereo is decent. An 8-inch infotainment touchscreen comes standard, as does voice command.
Safety features are also a priority with the 2021 Buick Envision. Some standard safety features include:
  • Rearview camera
  • Teen driver (allows parents to preset maximum speed and stereo volume)
  • Forward collision warning
  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Lane-keeping assist
  • Forward collision warning
  • Rear crossing traffic alert
  • Rear parking sensor
  • Auto emergency braking
  • Safety alert seat (vibrates to alert the driver of road hazards)
  • Front pedestrian braking
If you want to pump up the safety features even more, look for a Buick model with technology upgrades like a surround-view parking camera or adaptive cruise control

Storage

Another aspect of the Envision’s makeover was cutting the storage space to an unremarkable 25.2 cubic feet. With the back seats folded down, that number increases to 52.7 cubic feet, but if an SUV with a lot of cargo space is important to you, the Envision might be a letdown.

Style

The 2021 Envision’s styling feels intentionally understated, which lends it a clean look, but it does lack pizzazz. Also, some of the buttons for the infotainment system are awkwardly placed.
You’ll need to opt for a higher trim to enjoy leather seating with a quilted ventilation pattern. Still, the smooth, quiet ride you’ll be treated to inside the 2021 Buick Envision makes up for a slightly uninspired design quality.

This app is great, but the customer service is even better! Not to mention convenient! My husband and I got the lowest rate (much lower than the rates I was finding online through my own searches), quickly, and pretty much all through text message! Thank you so much for a hassle free experience👍
